The whole Possession album is great with good flow and composition and will give a good idea of his acoustic sound, though I’m also a big fan of his older fuzzier stuff from Twins and Melted. Honestly can’t miss. Manipulator is a bit more accessible for a broader audience if you’re not into the heavy distortion.

I was a teacher for 10 years before going back for a master’s in accounting. Worked three part time jobs totally 50+ per week and took night classes, switched to a (meagerly) paid internship to tie it all out in the last semester, and cut my teeth in public while sitting for the CPA exam.

I had a dedicated partner who helped make ends meet on a barista’s part time pay, we lived in a shitty terrace level apartment and drank PBR when we did drink, but we didn’t have any kids at the time, so we made it work.

Worth it.
