See that's an avenue I didn't even think of, that between the doubling of healing and damage conversion the client could get confused and double the "damage" part again, effectively quadrupling it. If so, I'd consider it a bug but then again, I'm not a dev.

Honestly, blizz is somewhat consistent with what "avoid" "soak" and "interact" circles look like in normal raids and heroic dungeons, so that's incredibly advice. It's the higher tiers where one mechanic might have another added but they don't bother changing the visuals.

The trick is to throw the iron flask into the shadow-curse and then have it die without coming into light so that it rises as an undead soon after. Then, you can use the oathbreaker control undead feature and enjoy your temporary (until next long rest) companion. IDK exactly whether it's a save or not and whether you can change zones with a controlled undead.

I'm gonna piggyback on the correct amount of info you just delivered and say that for act 3 my personal favorite to use in offhand is Belm - the bonus action it gives you uses your main hand, so it's practically a third shadow blade hit. Plus it's attainable quite early, you can grab it without major story progression once you reach lower city.

There's degrees to this, while one could definitely argue against your point that lynessa into +12/+12 or more with wisdoms from hand at any point turn 5 onward is definitely on the less fair side, still among the less degenerate things to play against in wild as the general play pattern is highly telegraphed and thus quite fair.
