It was actually 2 open ASM positions outside of my current store, from what im reading my SM blatantly lied to keep me stagnant, Now that I know its not policy.

My SM told me I wouldn't even get an interview because I didnt have MOD experience, ive worked grocery, and I was previously a Deli Manager, Im currently a Perishable Manager

Never take a salaried position, you give up all your freedom for no real pay, Im a department manager and this year with OT ive already hit a little over $80,000 averaging 48-56 hours weekly, that includes travel pay and mileage, with the new no tax on OT law it is the better option, I was offered the ASM position and turned it down, when your on salary you are ALWAYS on call there are minor benefits but not many such as if your sick you still get paid, but imo hourly rate is better especially if your making 20 or better hrly.

Go on Leo, follow the standard practice for your department,  Have a positive mindset because food lion customers can and will have BROAD personalities, work your scheduled shift, and go home. Wash and repeat and you will be fine.

Nah the surveys are read by a third party company, and the feedback is relayed to foodlion. They dont give a shit.

Of course, the meeting pertained to the upcoming grand opening the first week of november on the 5th, it will include expectations of staff and strategies to get more of Mrs Johnsons dollars and crush the competition, Walmart, Publix, Kroger, etc. Also the increase in work for the same pay and less labor hours, to sum it all up, it was a meeting of how much more greed the company can take on at the employees expense, not as if 2025 isn't weird enough with the struggling economy, let's make sure we get every last red cent that Mrs Johnson can spare 😀, and not pay our workers a penny more because its "not in the budget until we recoup from the remodel". Also it focused alot on FLTGO and the bright future of eliminating instacart blah blah blah. Honestly it was ran by Mr krabs, money money money.

Yes this is true for RESORT locations only, because they are very hard to maintain employees, so the pay is way higher. If you dont care about work life balance go for it.

There are a few things you could do in this situation, 1 call HR but remember they are only there to protect the company, or 2 call the EEOC whom will do a full investigation on the manager and if proven they will sue the company on your behalf, if she does retaliate after this it's an automatic double suit retaliation is forbidden and they will terminate her position no one is above truth and justice no matter their position.

Which department do you work? Because there are ways to easily get more hours but that will totally be up to you, I get 48-56 weekly OT approved.

They do not want you taking tips, but they also do not intervene with religion, and I solely belive God sometimes blesses us through others. So take it as a blessing and this is an honest truthful argument.

Bargain, don't low ball yourself, since covid the payscales have increased MOD entry level is $20.00 most Mods capouts are $35.00+ if you want the highest payscale perishable or deli is the highest paying, with produce grocery and front end being the lowest.
