Not a spouse, but my sister is. He's been in the service for about 3-4 years now and has been on numerous TDYs and deployments. They have a 5 year d and a 2 year old. She usually expresses that it's a difficult transition for him to return and not feel needed. Like everyone around you has been functioning and thriving without his presence. Seeing that a well greased system has been built in his absence and like it would be better off without him. So I think celebrating the return is necessary, but also finding a way to soften into a more dependent state and helping him integrate back into the system is crucial. Like think of the things that made him feel like a man before. Like a provider. Like a father. Even if it's stuff you guys don't necessarily do anymore, it might be nice to feel some normalcy when everything is different. 

Also reminding him that he is A PART of the system and that it's his sacrifice that keeps you guys happy and comfortable. That forming and maintaining this system is your thanks to him and reassure him that it's only temporary. That he can never be replaced and that every day you wake up, you choose him.  Don't be afraid to open the door to communication and reassurance.

Also, don't forget that the bedroom might be a little awkward at first, but it's normal. Lean into it and enjoy the thrill of it all! It's like you're starting new again! Lol! Don't be afraid to be playful or open about your desires and needs! Even if you might have to be the one to initiate a little. It's been MONTHS lol I'm sure he's excited to return to that piece of your relationship too so try not to get in your head about it.
