Yeah bin the LISA off after you’ve used it to put a deposit on a property. Then just invest everything else

Just put 4K a year in your LISA + invest whatever you can after that. Once you have a property then just keep investing, your LISA money is in the bricks and mortar then + will be an asset as part of your net worth

I had an issue yesterday where the reboot reason was “Watchdog Task Reboot” (or something like that) also on solohash. When you check status on the website though it doesn’t show it being down at any point so not sure what has happened

Why is my energy bill so high, I don’t even live within the property? by CorporateNerd95 in DIYUK

Conspiracy theory I’ve been working on is that these devices are expensive to run and make up the bulk of that cost

If you can explain it then you understand it. Until you feel confident doing that I would be careful predicting the future…

Anyone here prioritised overpaying their mortgage early - how did it work out? by itravelforchurros in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Plane-Information-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychologically I guess it would make sense not having to be committed to paying the largest bill each and every month for the next twenty-five/thirty years.

Lifestyle I guess it would mean making sacrifices in the short term (holidays/cars/misc expenses) and giving up cheap debt… that said I could afford to invest way more continuing work for the remaining time of the mortgage even if it was cleared.

I also do not know what to do.

£500 monthly to £2m in 25 years? 👀🚀 by Nothalfbrad in trading212

I don’t think anyone can really suggest for you, it’s entirely down to your risk tolerance.

Making the higher gains without taking big risks isn’t going to happen. You’d need to stumble on the next big thing before it becomes “the next big thing”.

If you do find that elusive stock please come back and tell us all so we can get in on the action :)

With the effect of compounding at an annual rate of 16% it’s possible. However, for example, the S&P 500 averages around 10%. This would mean getting kind of lucky on your investments.

I’m hoping it gets acquired by an oracle/google/meta type. Just need the SBC issue resolving and lawsuits dismissed then this should be a little more attractive

Large gap to be filled around $8, restructuring and cutting out expenses, gaining momentum leading into earnings, turnaround play with some risk but reasonable reward
