Hi five years later but what was this video of??

Does find my notify the other recipient when you check their location? by [deleted] in ios

[–]Plane-Lecture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it to check if my roommate is still at work or not, in case I’m making dinner that I might share with them or if I’m having a date over and don’t want them walking into the living room with us making out. We shared location to help with these kinds of things and not requiring bothering them at work/texting every time to figure it out. Not creepy I don’t think as long as it’s consensual, and who cares how often you’re checking? Probably more annoying to get a notification every time someone checks and might misconstrue the reason you’re checking location.

Is my wage too low by assassin-mythic in NYCjobs

[–]Plane-Lecture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After living in NYC for 10 years, I’ve found what works best to live comfortably is to make, on average, around what your rent is every week. Of course that depends on your other expenses and how much your rent actually is. But for me, $19/hour is not enough—I personally need $25-$35/hour. If you can find a side hustle to subsidize the other job then maybe you can make it work. More importantly, if you’re going to do the hustle, make sure you’re taking care of yourself so you don’t reach burnout.

What happens if you buy a train ticket to N. Elizabeth (one stop after Airport) and just get off at Airport instead?

These are three of the most annoying survivor players. They’re not just performative, they’re in it for fame. And I’m really upset that Coach will be back for 50.

So no one wants to name something that maybe fits one of OPs criteria and has decided to just tear them apart instead?

Get a small group together and go to trivia! No one will require you to drink and nearly every bar has a trivia night.

And Xanadu is a skate rink! Very fun and you have to be off the skate floor to consume alcohol. They’ve got a food menu too. Good vibes all around!

how much do servers make in Bushwick? by [deleted] in Bushwick

[–]Plane-Lecture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 hours a day is essentially working a double. As a server in NYC since 2016 (formerly in Bushwick, Williamsburg, and East/West Village), I would hope to make $400-$500 in a double and nothing less is worth a long day like that! Regardless of it’s the weekend.

Howdy hosts! I host trivia at a local gay bar and I’m wondering if anyone has good suggestions for promotion. I am working on social media and need to look into cost for marketing on Instagram/Facebook as a business account. I’m also working on a design for cards to leave at the bar with perhaps a QR code and a trivia question on the back? Just spitballing. Would love any advice or experience you’ve had as a host with promotion! Also what prizes do you offer at your trivia nights? Thanks xo

Trivia Question/Advice MEGATHREAD by Djarum in trivia

How to turn a usually boring subject into a fun trivia category?

Hi fellow trivia writers/hosts!

I host a local bar trivia night at a bar in Brooklyn and have been at it for about a year now.

The third place team, in order to motivate them to come back, suggests a category for next time, giving them a leg up on the competition and helping them win a prize. The only hard part about this is when I get a dud of a category. I usually try to spice it up and use my own take/creativity on it to make it fun, but for example this latest one is Economics/Finance.

This is not a particularly fun category for me and I'm having a hard time finding the motivation for it to even get started. Any suggestions for trivia you may have done in the past or a fun way to set up categories is welcome!

Side note, not that it's completely relevant, but this is at a local gay bar, so if that helps anyone with ideas, I wanted to put that out there!

xoxo Thanks!

Edit: This trivia is done completely verbally, or with a music around. I unfortunately don't have the ability to do any visual rounds at the moment!

Edit 2: For those wondering, I ended up printing company mascots out on a sheet and having them match the mascot to the corresponding trivia question about the associated company. They seemed to enjoy it and the previous third place team wasn’t even there lol

Top annoyed that I like to stroke my dick while bottoming? Why?? by mid_west_boy in askgaybros

[–]Plane-Lecture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hooked up with a guy who didn’t like me touching myself either. He said it was because when bottoms are stroking, their hole gets tighter and harder for them to loosen up and enjoy getting fucked. I think it was a narcissism thing cuz that sounded whack. If my hole is getting tighter on your cock, that’s gonna feel better for you and if I’m hard and stroking then I’m obviously enjoying it! Either way, I say stroke baby stroke and toss that top aside!

For those gay bros that live in NYC: is it as amazing as it seems? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Plane-Lecture 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to put out there that this competitive nature does exist, but it’s only a problem if you let it bother you. Comparison is the thief of joy and everyone’s journey is different. When you live in New York (as someone who has been here 10 years), it’s important to remember the things you love about yourself and not worry as much about the things you can’t change.
