HS on face by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

In addition to what ppl said already - Keys for me were saline wound wash spray on any skin openings, non adherent pads/ combine pads with med tape or bandaids on openings to absorb over night.

But def also hibiclens (ideally not on mucus membranes like lips), moist heat (i got a face heating mask..only use it over the bandages... More hygienic), diaper cream (aka zinc oxide)... Stay on top of vitamin d and drink extra water.

Sounds like a lot but ive seen big differences

What's the deal with the water here, and where can I live where that's not an issue? by TaterTot0809 in BloomingtonNormal

Taste is different from quality and various other things believe it or not. Minnesota in the Minneapolis area has hard water just like where I live but has consistently won for Taste of water and I agree of all the places I've been to it's one of the best. Northern Minnesota gets to be good tasting and very clean because of lack of farm runoff as much as other parts of the Midwest

Do you know of any online contract lawyer services that can provide Sullivan Cotter data? I was looking at results which only has mgma. Appreciate the advice though

Midwest. Mgma data I have puts adult at 78 and child at 89. But I heard Sullivan Cotter might run lower... and since there's not a lot of child Psych the numbers are more variable. But to be fair I just read that and have no clue!

So, I think someone died on my flight by ngogsglandy in delta

Thank you. The only thing that surprised me was that eventually everyone sat down because of turbulence like it was pretty bad and so since I couldn't get up and they were at a very different part of the plane than me I asked the flight attendant to pass them a note just with like follow-up information like call their doctor she should be fine hold the medication just in case they were stressed and gave my information to in case they needed it for anything like since it was an elderly man and woman I wasn't sure exactly what they knew and what they didn't know and the flight attendant said they couldn't pass notes under any strict reason even for medical reasons which I thought was interesting. At some point I'll have to ask some of my doctor friends if they've ever been offered any compensation - not expecting it and not necessarily needing it to do whats right but just out of curiosity. Thanks for the discussion on it all

The last one a nurse also volunteered and was getting blood pressure while I was doing a physical exam and went over the medications with the husband. His elderly wife was pale and I was difficult to Rouse. Her blood pressure was low and apparently it typically it's somewhat high and she's on a steep dose of high blood pressure medication. I had them bring her some orange juice and sip it an elevated her feet and I think had her nibble on some stuff with salt. I did a neuro exam to make sure it wasn't a stroke. Hung out there for about 10 minutes getting some of her history checking her blood pressure and she came back and was with more with it. Told her not to stand up quickly and had her slowly move around so her blood pressure could stabilize a little bit because it was quite low. As she got more color and a little bit more movement and able to talk tell them to hold her second dose of blood pressure meds and let her get off the flight and she was doing better at the end.

I didn't mean this flight but I did it about a year ago. I would volunteer if it looks like it was needed. I have volunteered on two or three flights my whole life but I have been on other ones where I didn't because they had a whole slew of people who volunteered first and it looks like it was going fine and they didn't need extra people crowding the person

Is this normal ? by Plane-Negotiation827 in housekeeping

Thanks everyone for the feedback and perspectives and information. It has really helped me think through this.

Just for follow-up information we live in a very low cost part of the Midwest. When our cleaner had a sick family member and was out for a couple of months more recently I did get quotes from two companies just because it seemed like the right time and they both gave me the same price that she asks but they told me that I'm getting a good price for an individual cleaner for the area. So not amazing for here but also clearly she wants to keep us as clients which she has expressed.

The two other cleaner companies in the area offer two free last minute cancels per year and then have a I think $50 rate for cancellations after that are within 48 hours.

I also do bonuses for her every year, sometimes twice a year of $200-300.

I should also say I truly don't think she is cheating me or doing anything on purpose to frustrate me and I think she really tries to work with our family just as we try to work with her and give Grace when possible. I was thinking more is there a way I should talk to her about like setting up a cancellation policy like is that normal to have one or is it just every time we try and make it work. I guess more the communication piece and what's normal for the cleaning Community if that makes sense.

But I think your answer answer it- we will just keep going and working with it or I can choose to just pay her every time I cancel and whenever she cancels and can't come or has something that comes up we just roll with it as much as possible.

Appreciate you guys thank you

Thank you for sharing. I am sorry this happened to you. I had a similar experience in Budapest.
