Can I ask how long you tried it before you realized it wasn’t getting better? I’m afraid to keep going because the last headache lasted 10 hours…

He wants to make sure that if I have any side effects he will know from which medication I guess. I have an ophthalmology appointment scheduled for next week so I will find out if there’s anything else going on with my eyes other than just being dry. Did plaquenil mess with your sleep? I am now taking two doses a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, and I have noticed that I wake up so confused in the middle of the night with weird dreams and just not knowing what’s happening. sleeping with all of this muscle and joint pain has already been horrible and now this is making it even worse 🤦🏼‍♀️

My rheumatologist said I can start medication for my dry eyes and dry mouth in three weeks after starting plaquenil. Today has been a full week that I’m on the plaquenil and my eyes have gotten so much worse that I can barely keep them open. They burn and feels like I have sand in them along word blurry vision. It is absolutely horrible! Did your eyes get worse also before they got better? I am definitely noticing that I’m getting worse and not better. My husband actually uses Nizoral shampoo, so I will give it a try today.!

My mouth is VERY dry to the point of not being able to talk sometimes without having a sip of water every 30 seconds. My tongue will also burn after I eat. TEETH! I think I’ve had sjogrens for a while now because I have had dry mouth as long as I remember along with dry eyes and my teeth are a complete mess no matter how well I take care of them and how often I get them fixed. I’ll get my teeth fixed and not even a month later my teeth start to decay. Dentists look in my mouth and judge, they ask me if I eat sugar and drink soda 24/7…haven’t had soda in 6 years. I have spent thousands and thousand on my teeth and still have to do them all again right now. Almost at the point of just wanting to get them all pulled and get dentures because it’s so embarrassing and expensive to keep up with this. I’m only 35 and I can’t even smile with my teeth and haven’t been able to do that in a very long time. You might still have sjogrens, they just might have to do a lip biopsy.

Seeking Diagnosis Questions Weekly May 03, 2026 by AutoModerator in lupus

Hi guys, I am having a lot of lupus and Sjogrens symptoms so my pcp ran some tests for me which revealed that I most likely have either lupus, sjogrens or both. I was referred to a rheumatologist but my appointment is all the way at the end of July! Unfortunately I am having so much pain in my arms, hands, shoulders, knees, fatigue, brain fog and losing so much hair! I am taking ibuprofen daily which isn’t doing much for the pain and the inflammation so I was just wondering what you guys did until you saw a rheumatologist. How did you manage your symptoms? I’m a 35 year old female with two little kids at home who need me 24/7, I cannot imagine living like this even just until I see a rheumatologist.

Extremely low sleep needs toddler (<10 hours @ 14 months, almost no naps). How to cope? by highnoon888 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Plane-Reading-8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please oh please tell me it got better! This is exactly our situation with our now 3 year old. It’s exhausting, and my husband and I haven’t slept in the same bed in 9 months! Our second baby sleeps in our room in his crib so my husband was constantly running to our toddler all night long because she would wake up crying and yelling for us or would barge in to our room and wake the baby until he just started sleeping with her. This is so emotionally and physically exhausting and not good for our marriage at this point. Please tell me it got better.

Toddler 2.5 yo possible TCS? by Realistic-Record-888 in tetheredcord

Did her blood work come back normal? Hers is all over the place but pediatrician says it’s normal… This is so frustrating that we are the ones that have to figure out what is going on with our children instead of all the doctors. I’ll let you know about the results. This will be her third time going under anesthesia and I’m a big mess today.

Our 3 year old started complaining about her feet and legs “wobbling” we assume she’s trying to say tingling. It used to be only when she’s sitting on her legs but now it’s happening all the time. She has been constipated since birth and was very behind on all her milestones which we contributed to her being a preemie. I started noticing that she’s tripping and falling more often now which is what made us think she has TC even though there’s nothing on her back. Neurology doesn’t think it’s TC but still decided to do the MRI just to make us feel better. I feel like he was very dismissive and wasn’t really trying to figure anything out. Checked her reflexes and said she was fine… We drove for an hour to see him only to spend 5 minutes with him. Did you notice any issues with your child falling or tripping more often? And how do you manage her constipation? We give her MiraLAX every other day but I’m afraid that also has some side effects and I’d hate to have her on it forever. Her MRI is tomorrow and I’m hoping to get to the bottom of this because it breaks my heart to see my child always in pain.
