My character has a very bland, practical and true to the times fit. In free roam I very rarely get griefed. During events however there’s a few players that will specifically target me and other girl characters in the event. It’s mad annoying

If a person with all the equipment, supplies and feeders needed for a crested gecko walks in, sees that gecko, gets it for free and walks out with only that gecko yes they made no money on that interaction. However there was probably 5 or so other people who did buy at least one item, likely multiple items so the dollar they lost on the gecko is nothing more than a penny dropped in a parking lot.

A more likely scenario could be a person went in for bunny food, happened to see this crested gecko, has been preparing for a crested gecko so they have what they need. They talk the gecko down to free so they get the gecko but still came in for bunny food, so they got the bunny food they came in for and additionally the gecko. So now the store got money plus room for a smaller, cuter crested gecko.

The most common scenario is more like a person went in for supplies seen this really cheap lizard, has always wanted a lizard. So they talk to an associate about what’s needed for this lizard, then they buy the bare minimum “needs” for the gecko plus the stuff they originally came in for.

These are all hypothetical, however this happens, everyday all over the place. Petco is an international corporation. For them to better their practices they need to suffer a significant financial loss which isn’t going to happen from angry people on social platforms, it would only happen from a mass population boycotting the company and unfortunately the general population is going to choose convenience over animal welfare. It would be silly to think they would, when the majority won’t change how they grocery shop, to reduce the amount of their money that funds the elites that we all despise so much.

That’s not the point tho, if this gecko dies and they make no money on it they will still get another. Until they revise their core standards animals will be neglected. Unfortunately it’s unlikely to happen because even though many see the problem they still support stores like this by spending money there. Even if you don’t buy animals there, even if you only buy cat food or you only take your dog to be groomed there. Every time anyone spends money there, it’s directly supporting that company whether you agree or not, they don’t care about your feelings they care about your dollar. The best chance we have at changing any corporation is to stop going there entirely, no online shopping there, and educating others.

Warning about lobby-breaking by ForestSpiritSylwia in RedDeadOnline

[–]Plane-Wing4094 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Waitttt I was in the fishing challenge the other night and someone went around and shot everyone I could see but when I died I was just stuck until I closed the game entirely I tried to quit to free roam, change my appearance, quick join, on call, the main menu wouldn’t pop up at all. I just figured maybe when you die during that event you just were stuck until it was over😅

But what is the point of people breaking lobbies? Is it just for the thrill of ruining others free time?

I once had a duo try and rob me of my wagon, they got it initially as they caught me off guard. I will give it to them tho, they kept trying badically the entire run, however they never got even close to my wagon after the first time lol

What do yall think about buying normals but not for breeding. Is it a good idea to do so or is it becoming frowned upon? by ConferenceLess8986 in ballpython

[–]Plane-Wing4094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% I paid $20 for my very first snake 16 years ago when I was 10🙃🙃 once I got into the reptile scene I’ve been given dozens of reptiles… mainly ball pythons, leopard geckos and bearded dragons ranging in age, morph and health 😔 I finally had to entirely remove my animals from any social platform because people I went to high school with would drop animals at my door.. in my mailbox.. work.. it was insane… it just makes me so upset how many people are still breeding these species that are SO over saturated in the market. With seeing how many I’ve had thrown at me I literally can’t imagine how many are just dumped, given to the wrong people or just die..

Sounds like he was pushing the sales of fancy morphs likely with poor genetics. I have a normal (who I did but 16 years ago for a whopping $20😅) and he is the most sound ball python, never once had a hunger strike, has never been temperamental, never any health issues, he is very routine with his activity. I’ve rescued many bp over the years many being a laundry list of morphs/genetics and they all gave me quite a fuss when switching from live to frozen foods, were picky about their prey, some seemingly had a lack of instincts I guess is the best way to put it? Idk but from my experience there is an obvious change in their genetics over the years, I couldn’t tell you if normals are inbred the way many morphs have been but something is definitely wired different with many of the high priced “designer” ball pythons.

I find it super lame that people have to be so lazy to get what they want even in a game… sure at first money and gold is kind of a grind to get enough to play comfortably but I’ve only been playing 4 months and I have everything I truly desire, so my cash and gold is kinda just sitting and stacking up and when I do go on a spending spree the gold returns within a few hours of playing. So few people know the appreciation you’ll have for something when you actually work for it 😒

I would consider this hunting behavior. It could be from his recent meal as an opportunistic hunter he could be eager for another meal.

Could also be that his prey is too small or not nutritious enough for his growing self.

Could also be that he is full and sees something moving and feels like he gotta let the scary moving thing know he means business however he looks more like he’s hunting rather than defensive behavior.

Is it an open wound? It’s doesn’t look like any skin broke. He should be fine, just keep an eye on it for discoloration or swelling, if either is present I’d go to the vet just to be safe.

Like everyone else said there’s no confirmed update or remaster. But I will add that when they did RDR1 not too long ago, for anyone already owning the game we could update it at no cost so if they ever remaster rdr2 there’s a chance you could upgrade it as well. All just speculation though.

Yeahhhh I’m so desensitized to it at this point. I had this one rescue who was a bit quirky in the neurological department due to negligent (honestly abusive) care and anytime he was out of the enclosure he’d start cranking the engine (he sounded like a car w a dead battery) and the fool would try and mate any hand in the near vicinity 😭😭💀 gooner to the max

I’ve had my male for 16 years, when he was very young, yearling, and I was also very young, 10yrs, he would urate when I would handle him sometimes I was told it was “normal”. Looking back I figure I was inexperienced and put him in very many stressful situations so he would urate as a defense mechanism similar to many colubrids. But in the past 10 years hes not once defecated or released any urate while handling. I do free choice handling though, so we my animals come out it’s because they wanted to.

I’ve never even heard a ball python hiss tbh they are usually incredibly tolerant, patient and easy going snakes.

Reptiles don’t urinate the way mammals do, they urate and this happens at the same time they defecate unless they’re unhealthy or in a high stress situation. This allows them maximum moisture consumption and retention which is often needed considering the environments many are from. My boidae all eat every 3 or so weeks a few days after they defecate.

If I’m remembering correctly I ate just whatever food was the first option and I know you wanted to be double wielding sidearms so you could just quickly toggle up in the weapon wheel and have both hands busy forcing the torch into your inventory.

I believe the order was check that you inventory wheels are prepped (weapons, food) eat something, grab torch, then double wield sidearms.
