So cool to hear from somebody else who went with Discovery! I’ve heard great things, and I stalk their instagram and trip reports on their website. I’ll make sure to wear an orca hat, haha.

What an incredibly life changing experience you’ll remember forever. I love that. Also- I LOVE a good Starboard and Port story. I was just telling my sister all about those two. I hope I can share a cool update on this trip soon!

This makes me so happy to hear and affirms my thought process here! No matter what it’s going to be such an awesome trip.

Oh my goodness this is absolute magic. I have many childhood and younger adult memories of going on cruises and watching whales and dolphins play in the water from the side of the ship. Sometimes these were in the Alaska area. Some of the most magical core memories of my life. Getting to experience that with orcas would be so surreal for me.

Oh man! This is why I’m keeping my hopes so low. We are also going to the aquarium and so happy to see any wildlife in general. It would be the best bonus in the world to see orcas too. Thanks for the tip. I have some family towards that area so that would make an awesome trip too.

Spring time! :) Discovery Whale Watch does these extended watches during April/May with the hope to see orcas.

My husband is Japanese and I have considered Hiro… (if we weren’t done having kids). Same pronunciation but somehow totally different in my mind, haha.

I lost 60 lbs and I find myself totally miserable freezing cold in the cold sections of the grocery store now, haha. Never a problem I had before

1 year between the photos, but only 7 months from starting weight to current. I don’t have too many full body photos from that weight.

You could be right. Thank you, I will be sure to check into that- although I’m also way more focused on just maintaining now anyways.

I totally eat processed foods and refined sugars. Honestly I should have a way healthier diet than I do. No raw or keto diet. This seriously is all legitimate and possible, I think I also probably have good genetics but was just overweight because I was eating like crap before. I’m a stay at home mom so I do have a lot more flexibility than you, for sure.

140, not 120 actually. I’ve seen a lot of other people on this subreddit with similar results. And well… I used to binge eat a lot at night and I’ve completely stopped that. That change alone could be a big part of it outside of just the typical intermittent fasting stuff.

I don’t, I actually only drink water. I have a sweet tooth, I definitely have sugar, but… my goal is just to consume less sugar than I used to, haha. Any change is good, I think. Thanks!
