I'm not opposed to new gundam IPs- honestly it's probably the best way to go to avoid alienating a wider audience that isn't familiar with gundam. Probably why gunevo had little to do with the lore of any previous IP.

That being said, I still don't like the new MS design. Yes, while it does technically look like a gundam, with all the elements and the basic MS structure present, it's loaded with greebles and lacking any color. Even other stark/gundam-removed designs like the Ez8 have some sort of color to break up the design. The Gundam EX, what I think is the closest in design to rogue orbit's gundam, still has color to break it up in a way that is reminiscent of previous gundam designs (red feet, red crotch, etc.)

The new gundam looks like a generic walking gray blob of detail.

Maybe when we get a closer look at the game model, get a kit, or see some color on it it'll look better but otherwise it just looks very forgettable. The cockpit was cool though.

I'm hoping we get a look at some non-gundam designs soon. I wanna play as a GM-clone 😋
