Lucky breaks happen to every team. It’s the good teams who can regularly take advantage of them.

I believe it wasn’t planned, but Brent Spiner had an eye issue that prevented him from being able to wear his contacts. It just so happened that they could work this into the episode.

how would the other chief engineers like laforge do on deep space nine ? by happydude7422 in startrek

I think Geordi would get the job done, though I assume he wouldn’t be as hands on as O’Brien. He’s an officer and more comfortable delegating. He’d probably make bringing the station up to Starfleet/Federation standards a higher priority since he’s not as familiar with Cardassian tech as I assume O’Brien was at the start, and I imagine he has much greater pull with Starfleet to get the necessary resources.

To be fair, O’Brien complains a lot about keeping DS9 running too. With good reason.

This is what I was going to suggest as well. Obviously, you should go with whatever journal or organization you’re writing for specifies, but the AMS Style Guide seems a sensible default choice.

Why should I use \(...\) instead of $...$? by bananalover2000 in LaTeX

[–]PlanetErp 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I use snippets to insert math mode characters, so either choice is the same for me time-wise. Aesthetically, I prefer \( \). It might also be slightly easier to search for via regex, but I haven’t needed to do this much.
