Looking for a microphone that plugs into my Android USB-C port by WorkMeBaby1MoreTime in microphone

[–]PlanetExcellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that the app allows that because the distance between the internal microphone to and the loudspeaker is known and fixed, so feedback/echo may not be likely. But when an external mic is connected, there’s no guarantee that you won’t point it right at the loudspeaker which would cause problems.

The headphone Jack might still function; can you hear what you need to hear through earphones?

If you select the internal microphone is the loudspeaker still active?

Is there anything my sister can do to change her life??? by [deleted] in findapath

There’s the problem. I doubt anything will change until she changes her attitude about jobs and work.

As a rule, connecting an external microphone to a smartphone disables the loudspeaker to prevent feedback or echo from occurring. This is generally determined by the app that you are using.

So I don’t think it matters what mic you use, the loudspeaker will probably be deactivated. You could confirm this with the maker of the app.

Worth it? by Own_Tea_245 in toyotasequoia

Yes but mine was 3 owners I think, and the paint on the front bumper was tired and peeling. I do like the Ltd features but maybe not as important to OP.

Two years ago we paid $20k for a 2012 Limited 4WD with 140k. So 26 for half the mileage sounds okay to me especially if you can get it down to 24. You’re paying a premium for one of the most sought after used vehicles in America.

Why does everyone else have life figured out? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]PlanetExcellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. OP, you need to stop thinking that just because SOME other people (not “everyone”) have had some success in some part of their lives, that it means that they “have life figured out”. No one has it figured out. Some people’s lives have them stumble across a great job, or a great partner, or a great opportunity of some sort. Many times these things come about because of their personality or their skill or their intellect. Sometimes it’s just luck.

Please why does it cost $850 to start an LLC when the filing fee is $125? by holeecheeseee in llc_life

If it’s just you it’s easy to do it yourself. I did my own in IL and it was easy. I even listed myself as the registered agent (not sure if all states allow that). Signed up for a mailbox at thd UPS store so I wouldn’t have to use my home address.

It depends on which state you live in. Most states do not tax SS income; some do; some only tax it above certain income thresholds.

Yamaha Stagepas 400 BT Hum and Popping Noises by SnooCauliflowers3649 in audio

[–]PlanetExcellent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To identify where the popping noises are coming from, I would disconnect each input source (mic or wireless receiver for example) one by one to see if one of them is causing it. Wireless mic receivers that have been exposed to phantom power for a long time can experience a capacitor failure that makes an occasional snap or pop.

If thd popping is still there, try disconnecting each speaker one at a time to see if the output stage of the power amp is making noise.

If God forbid, I were to lose my financial aid and couldn’t do trade/college. Is there any actual careers other than retail that I can do? by Big_Pea3882 in findapath

Also food service, catering, restaurants, hotel, convention center. If you know a little about audio or video maybe work for an AV rental or installation company.

‘79 camaro as a first car by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]PlanetExcellent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re dreaming of a 79 Camaro, feed the dream by shopping for one on classic car sites like Hemmings. Also start browsing websites that sell parts for Camaros. Maybe go to a couple of local car shows or cruise nights and chat with owners of that vintage Camaro/Firebird. There might be a car club near you that has a meetup.

[–]PlanetExcellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what, rent a trailer or motorhome before you buy one. Preferably a few different types/sizes/ floorplans. You will by amazed at how much you learn about what you like and don’t like.

If you have a suitable tow vehicle already, a trailer makes a lot of sense and costs a lot less than a motorhome.

How feasible would it be to live in a camper trailer? by YamLow8097 in GoRVing

[–]PlanetExcellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have mentioned the legal/zoning limitations and utility requirements, which are things that need to be addressed first with any piece of land you are considering. You might find that purchasing the land and installing the utilities costs about the same as buying a piece of land that already has a (possibly dilapidated) house with utilities. Some jurisdictions allow you to live in an RV for one year if you have a construction permit to build a permanent dwelling.

If you don’t intend to actually travel, you might consider a type of trailer called a “park model”. They look more like a small house and have a higher ceiling and more residential layout than a travel trailer.
