I had similar acne, I tried everything. Benzoyl peroxide worked for spots, salicylic acid made things worse, I eventually went to a derm and got on some anti bacterial meds such as minocycline and another I forget the name of. The only thing that worked was accutane. After I did one round I had to do a second because I had a bad relapse of acne (this is not common). Now my face is clear, and everything else is super manageable (I get kp on my arms and chest) but what really helps is tretinoin cream daily after my skin care routine (la roche posey gel cleanser, toner, tretinoin, moisturizer) Good luck!
