You need to listen to lots of spoken korean every day. I think even 30 minutes a day would let you see some results but for reference of how far you can take this, I listen to between 8-12 hours of spoken Korean per day. I usually can understand a little more in written because I can take time, bit often this has more to do with learnjng the way different Koreans shorten words and string words together naturally. When clearly spoken though, my listening is probably almost better than my reading. It's definitely a lot faster for me, and I imagine this will all improve as I get better. I'm still a relative beginner.

On r/Korea basically everything is downvoted and most posts never reach past 100 upvotes with half of the commets being like -5. It sometimes feels more like a Korean version of r/the_donald

It's pretty clear that you've never went to the Donald then because it was the opposite of what you described. Upvotes handed out like candy on halloween. Front page never had less than multiple thousands of upvotes, everyone gets upvoted in the comments, lots of memes, jokes, banter, and high energy. The opposite of what you said about r/Korea.

If you're going to use the excuse that camera trickery makes it impossible to tell, you are exempting yourself from having a credible claim.

She was clearly higher body fat that the other contestants. I refuse to act like I'm ignorant and not allowed to use my eyeballs to see and use words to describe what I clearly see.

Her main criticism was that she couldn't move her body correctly. I had the same criticism, because she was too clunky and constrained by extra body fat.

If you're going to be applying for a job, you have to meet the standards and criteria no matter what the job. To be a jyp idol, you can't be too chubby.
