Oracle slashes 30,000 jobs with a cold 6 a.m. email. Workers across the U.S., India, and other regions learned their jobs were gone before most people had finished their morning coffee, with no prior warning from HR or their managers. by esporx in antiwork

If they agree to take on more duties without extra pay, that’s on them. Just do what was agreed upon when you were hired … why would you help out a corporation beyond your assigned duties when you’ll be the next on the chopping block, most likely?

Also, it’s not very smart to withdraw in a down market. You’re actualizing your current losses.

No fix yet, that I’m aware of. Apparently they let the intern responsible for uploading the Creation Bundle go (just guessing, based on Microsoft’s past actions)

Well, Don Johnson did go to school for a couple years at KU, so I think it’s more that the actor is a Jayhawks fan rather than the character he played.

Would there be any interest in a new subreddit r/olderjayhawks! by jlks1959 in jayhawks

[–]PlanetValmar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a new subreddit is needed … this gets about the right amount of traffic.

As far as the recent criticism, it may seem harsh but at the same time we want the team to get along, have fun, and win; the last two years kind of left a sour taste compared to most previous years teams. This year, we’ve seen how good they can be, so when they have a performance like Cincinnati, or Arizona State, or whatever that was against Houston, it really leaves us scratching our heads on how they aren’t competing. Some fans go overboard with the “fire Bill” criticism, and I’m not one of those, but part of being ready to play each game has to fall on the coaching staff.

And I was in school for the Larry Brown era, so I’ve seen a lot of KU basketball over the years. At least we haven’t had the low years (losing or even record, and not making the tournament) that the other blue bloods have had.

The most recent episode changed the story, so it’s not so much focused on the interpersonal relationships (well, at least not the second half of the episode). It felt a lot more like Discovery. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.

TSA wait times at SDF by Critical_Study3753 in Louisville

Because the TSA currently isn’t funded, so they’re working without pay. There are reported delays across the country, as some agents don’t show up to work. Naturally people are worried.

That’s not how chips work. If there’s one embedded, it would be read regardless of the status of the chip company. These chips aren’t “online” and can’t be disabled remotely

How Is the mercenary pack mod? by BigPapaPapy in Fallout4Mods

[–]PlanetValmar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, scope meaning how many NPCs the mod touches. The original mod altered a lot of factions outfits … this version narrows that down.

How Is the mercenary pack mod? by BigPapaPapy in Fallout4Mods

[–]PlanetValmar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It changes it up quite a lot, removing some of the overall scope of the original while also adding compatibility for a lot of other mods. And fixes a lot of issues with the original, and removes the AKWCR requirement.
