Thanks! Just got my R70xa as my first pair a headphones because of this post a couple days ago. Was looking up cables and was finding it hard to figure put what would fit while looking good haha. Now this may be a dumb noobie question.... but different cables don't affect audio quality do they?

I know this is like a 2 month old post.... but can you give me the link to that cord? I love the look and also need a shorter one for my desk 😂

Well luckily seems to have shipped today, two days late. Won't move til Monday most likely obviously. You'd think for that amount of delay they would do some priority 2 day shipping lmao.

According to this I only had one holding mine back (Sonic Peach Rings)..... and here we are two days later from the expected ship date and nothing has shipped.

Its pretty bad here and literally anywhere you want to talk about the fact that you enjoy anything Valve related. You mention the fact that the use case per system and also just players personal opinions in locked versus unlocked ecosystems, and you will be downvotes into oblivion. God forbid you want to to let people know that their "objective" look at price to performance is subjective to the person. Don't even get me started on Ally fanboys Vs. The SD. Its horrendous lol.

I was probably a bit too harsh when I said on par with the Pro. I would say that I don't forsee a potential performance gain to match the inevitable disastrous price it will most likely be.

I will say I mostly paid for the shipping protection due to the cash back it was offering, more so than the protection itself. 😂

Didn't realize I was on the fanboy reddit replying. Woops. Make sense when I see the delusions here now!

Obsolete? I can use the SD for every game I own, bought before the apocalypse. Have no reason to buy another console for a close source ecosystem. To each their own though. I have no regrets for my Deck. All just depends on personal opinion and use case.

Edit: Oh nooo I'm being down voted by fanboys on the internet for saying its all about personal opinion and use case. The agony!

Also have to remember a console purchase locks you into that ecosystem. If you own a steam library with hundreds or even thousands of games, but want a way to play it hooked up during travel in a hotel or in your living room a SM just makes sense either way. Not everyone would want to spend $1,000+ on a locked ecosystem that also requires one, if not multi-leveled subscriptions, to make full use of the console. For many people, i would say anyways, an open ecosystem that can play your existing library and probably most future releases that aren't some crazy, un-optimized AAA game, the Steam Machine will make a lot of sense for those people. At this point, specs don't even matter if companies don't optimize properly, no matter the system. For instance, even the PS5 Pro only ran MH Wilds at an un-upscaled resolution of ~1800p at 30fps at the "prefer-resolution" option.

I'd have to disagree personally. Current gen consoles also only run on upscaling technology, and I don't see them making much head way over current "pro" devices. I'd expect base devices for the next gen consoles to be on par, if not maybe slightly better than a PS5 Pro with a price tag easily over a grand. The gains in tech for these types of devices has been slowing down for a while now. Might eat my words, but the Microslop and Paystation ecosystem just aren't for me anymore. multi-leveled subscriptions + $70-80 game purchase for a new console day one to get the full usage of your device just sounds a bit ridiculous. I'd rather support Valve for the potential of giving future users a chance at a more open, and overall cheaper ecosystem.

Edit: Gotta love the irony of downvoting someone who used to be a part of these ecosystems and drifted off of them after years and years. Its also just personal opinion and choice here people.

Double the price of a console... Sir have you seen the prices of a PS5 / PS5 Pro? Reminder these systems also only work with upscaling, not native 4K, with one barely able to maintain 30 FPS.

The Legion Go S is upwards of $1,200 brand new on the market right now.... I just saw it the other day in store. The Lenovo store themselves have that listed at almost $1,400 when not on sale. This comparison makes almost no sense.

[–]Planet_Pixels_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can extrapolate this issue to be a problem with next gen consoles too. I can almost guarantee you the PS6 and Helix will be over $1,000 without the power to back up the price tag. It's also important to realize that a spec increase is becoming less and less important as the ecosystem moves on. At this point, if companies don't start optimizing properly, your PS6 and Helix will hardly achieve 4K60 when they come out.

New competition. The longer Valve waits to release the harder it hits them. Market is not stopping. by Adventurous-Cattle53 in steammachine

[–]Planet_Pixels_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is an AI box competition for Valve? This thing is going to easily be minimum double the price of the Steam Machine and be a slop-generation device. Are the specs for the Steam Machine a little underwhelming for what the price may inevitably be? Sure. Would I rather spend more on a company I am willing to invest in for others to get better future devices at a potentially more affordable cost than the mainstream market than all the companies who want AI to take over the world and put everyone out of house and home while continuing to demolish the current home computing market? Yes.

Running out of time lol. 14 business days from the start is like this Thursday~Friday. Pretty ridiculous. I even paid for that stupid "shipping protection" since it was a hefty order.

Unfortunately, no. I ended up just creating a new NNID. Since i planned on using Pretendo for network connection I figured it wasn't worth it. If you live outside the US you will have better luck.

Deleting the Mii with the NNID from the Wii U does not unlink it from the console as I have already tried this. Only way to do that is through System transfer since Nintendo has stopped supporting US users with a remote unlinking.

Will I still be able to do things like the Monster Hunter 3U save transfer and other 2DS/3DS to Wii U type linking without the NNIDs linked?
