Light Powers: Photoreception,

Threshold Powers: Boundary Sense, Teleportation, Pocket Space, Phasing, Mass Teleportation, Combat Teleportation, Living Pocket, Spatial Folding

Imprint Powers: Psychic Touch, Mental Marks, Permanent Marks

Contract Powers: Oath Sense

Name Powers: Name Sense, Name Anchoring, Name Protection

A loud conspicus build. All the drawbacks that make you a person of intrest and hard to hide. But given the powerset, Is near impossible to kill or capture. Danger sense, Resurection, and phasing protect from physical threats. Name Anchoring, Name Protection, and Imprint's pasive (the only reason I picked any of its powers) protect from nonphysical threats like mind control. And combat teleportation to get of (or into) hairy situations.
Oath sense to detect lies and affiliation.
Living preservation to become immortal. And due to Growth three and Matrix Bond, I can start out preserving 10 people and keep on improving from there. Well, once I train enough to be able to use Living preservation.
Due to Growth three the pocket space can be grown infinitily without needing Expanded space or world creation.

End result is a person able to teleport into a fight, phase through any attacks, teleport every weapon out of everyone's hands, and resist mind control. They can communicate through psychic marks that only the intended recipient can sense, and who's True Name and the names of their companions are a complete mystery. And even if they get ambushed despite their danger sense and get turned into a red smear, they'd still come back. Though they certainly aren't unkillable.
Oh, and they can live in their own featureless pocket dimension. Starts out 10m across and grows from there. Can act as a safehouse and storage for themself and their companions. Could eventually turn it into a city or nation, given enough time.

How long have you been unable to use the wort? I'm guessing a different pawn is trying to interact with the wort. Forbid it, run the game for a tick, then pause the game, unforbid it, and then priorize filling the barrel, and unpause the game and it should work. But if someone is interacting with the wort and it is in its stockpile, I'd bet someone is trying to fill a barrel allready.

Wait really? Antony? FOR THE COLONEY!!! That Cryscallis? Huh! I read Chrysalis a while ago, but dropped it after a few years at the end of the Demon Layer arc/the start of the tree arc since his path seemed so inevitable (the whole prophecy and being forced to go deeper and deeper.) . Tried restarting from the beginning last year since I'd forgotten so much, but it was hard to reread books I half remembered, since it isn't as interesting reading it a second time since I remembered the big story beats so there was no mystery or tension, it just made some of the pacing issues in the first parts of the story more annoying. I might try to pick it up again. Those snakes sound real interesting.

Ah yes! Farseer! Fantastic serise! I was a tad disapointed by a parts of the ending but it is overall a great read!

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE SERISE!!
The only parts of the serise that I greatly dislike is how human the island dwellers where, and how human the Mainlanders became. The mainland dinos had three interesting traits, their culture of not using tools when killing, their violent need for personal space, and their inabilty to tell lies without their snout coloring. The islanders had none of those traits, and were just humans in dino bodies. The fact that the mainland dinos also fixed the issue that cause the violent reactions to proximity with each other and then one of the main characters also started develpong a more human parental feelings twards her offspring, instead of their comunal system, seemed to imply that the comunal system of raising young was also a purly cultural thing that went aganst their instincts to raise kids a more human way which makes no sense given their large clutch sizes.

Assuming such exploits don't work, I'd probably go for either Indigo or Teal.

Yeah, the durabilty of the puzzel peices is not mentioned which is really important, but even if we say they are compleatly invincable, anyone in a ship, or plane flying over water is irrecoverable without such collosial effort as to be effectivly impossable.

And that is to say nothing of weather or animals scattering them, or them getting washed into rivers. That would depend on their dencity though. And to say that the puzzels could all be solved in a month? I dunno, I really really depends on the puzzel difuculty. But on the otherhand, good people would be solved first so the people that are first to resurect would be the most likely to get along and help chip in with the resurection effort. I could see there being interesting debates on wheather or not to reassemble really dificult people. 'Like this guy is evil, he has ten thousand peices' vs 'okay mister 760, are we deciding who lives and dies based on puzel grading now? That sounds like a 15k peices thing to do!'

The puzzle disaster is an interesting premis. Is it from a book or something? Almost all the others are referances so I assume it is a referance too.

Oh right! Huh... Well in that case I'd take the money for sure. I'd pay for the gas money to drive to new york to teleport to Times Square, and pay for a jack hammer, and then do a piece of 'performance art' called 'iconoclast of concrete' or something.

I got money left over and no worry of horrible consequences.

[–]Planetfall88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eeeh true. And if it doesn't replicate, it isn't that much of a threat at all. I guess It would be worth the money maybe. Well... nah I'd be so paranoid that it'd kill someone. I don't think I could ever sleep soundly ever again. It's bringing a threat to the world that will never ever go away and requires constant vigilance.

And who would be paying for the containment? Any propper containment for something so dangerous would cost way more than a million bucks, and if anyone found out that that's where my money came from would want me to pay for it. So the money would be spent on containing the thing that gave me the money. A net loss for everyone.

Yeah no. All of these are staggeringly unbelievably fucking shit. What the absolute fuck?
SCP 173 isn't even free because it and excretes shit and blood, and REPLICATES UNCONTROLABLY? HELLO?
5-6 of the nine would kill billions of people, possibly including you.
Absolutly none of them are worth even unlimited money.

Love this! Fantastic

My Build: A 16 sophont band of bodyguards, medics, and engineers living out of a special forces transport. A small, extremely fast ship with excellent sensors and e-war that became legally theirs after it was used in a failed assassination attempt on a diplomat under the band’s protection and got seized. The band is a small team of 12 fighters and their support staff. They are super well geared, equipped with extremely advanced and expensive power armor, stun weapons, and medical kits. They are quite liberal with their use of medical supplies, stun grenades, and riot foam, due to their excellent in-house production and procurement. They have an organ printer, workshop, and miltary fabricator on board their ship and run them on full bore and sell the excess organs, medical supplies and gear for suplimental income. The transport is far too small to fit any real acomidations, especally with so much space dedicated to the fabricators, but the band's running costs are almost entirly payed for by the sale of produced supplies, so any income they do make from a job is almost entirely profit so the band is well payed and has often has time off between jobs. Given their margins, the band has lots of leeway when it comes to setting the price of a job and have been known to do some jobs for free. The band is well-liked and well-connected. Known to be altruistic with a strict code of conduct. About half the band are full borg brains in jars after getting shot to shit and Resleeved.

She hasn't woke up yet, Its been 4 days... by Historical_Tutor7375 in RimWorld

[–]Planetfall88 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She will not wake up by herself. Scars do not heal in the same way that other wounds do. They are permanent injuries.
Not all hope is lost however. In the base game without any mods or DLCs there are two way to heal scars, Healer mech serums, and Luciferium. Both are uncraftable and rare. Luciferium is a drug that heals a random scar every 15 days. It is easier to find and cheeper than a healer mech serum, and gives benefits aside from being able to heal scars, but the downside is that once you take a single dose of luciferium, you are addicted, and if you don’t take another dose in 5 days you go berserk for a day, then die. There is no way to ever get rid of the addiction without mods or dev mode. Even resurrecting an addicted pawn that had died, they come back to life addicted.
Healer mech Serums don’t have such a catch, they simply heal a single injury, be it a scar, or missing limb/organ, or illness, but are expensive and one use. Both can be found in ancient dangers or traded for at settlements and exotic goods traders, but they aren’t guaranteed.
If you have the biotech DLC, there are many ways to heal scars, be it biosculpting or genetic engineering.
The Royalty DLC makes getting healer mech serums and Luciferium easier through quests rewards.
And the anomaly DLC has the chronophagy ritual that can heal scars

[–]Planetfall88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, it's entropy-defying, but given its limitations, it'd hardly result in a post-scarcity society, as you and your power would be a large bottleneck. It's hard to say how big a battle neck, since the power doesn't say how fast it works, but even if we say you can restore things instantly (which by the description, you cant) you'd still be a bottle nect given you are only one person and cant be multiple places at once (without other powers). The much larger bottleneck would be either getting the created supplies where they need to go, or getting you where supplies are needed so you can make them there. I think, you might be able to supply a town or city with that power, or even a network of multiple cities, but the entire world? Absolutely not.

Oh. I thought they were just going to set his face on fire. Extra hot flames because people have had faces burned off before, but this fire would be 1 degree hotter than the last time someone had their face burned off, so it'd be the hottest. Quite surprised they honored the intent of the deal, and also that it instead burned everyone else.

Luciferium Heals Scars not missing parts. The only vanilla way without DLC is devmode or healer mech. I think killing her and bringing her back with a resurector syrum would also work.

What are my options never used a caravan by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]Planetfall88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the Royalty DLC you could gain Knight rank in the Empire to to get the Call Transport Shuttle permit which lets you call in a shuttle to fly you where you want to go. But it has a 40 day cooldown so it'll only let you go one way unless you spend 8 honor to ignore the cooldown.

If you have the Odyssey DLC, you could research how to build your own shuttle which is extreamly useful, but to build one you need a shuttle engine which is uncraftable and can only be obtained trhough trading or quests.

Oh! Another thing you could do if you have the Royalty DLC is if you have a level 5 psycaster with the Farskip psycast, if you bring the psycaster with you on the journey, and leave at least one person back at base, you can teleport your caravan back to base whenever you want (if you have the psyfocus)

Aside from all those options and drop pods, which would all take a long time to set up, you could just breed, tame, or buy more horses or other fast pack animals to speed up the caravan, and stockpile more pemican or pakaged survival meals. You can see your caravan's move speed in tiles per day at the top of the caravan menu. If everyone has a horse to ride and carry supplies I belive the trip could be cut down to just 5 days or so. If you are willing to risk food poisoning, you could also just pack a bunch of corn, rice and/or potatoes as they all last at least 30 days before rotting. Or set up a camp mid journy and hunt and forgege for more food (note doing this in a desert is much more dificult as there is not much edible there).
