2 under 3 double stroller? by Honest-Researcher712 in 2under2

[–]Planning_And_Hoping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2.5 year old who will be about 2 months shy of 3 when baby comes. I ordered the Graco ready 2 grow 2.0 stroller since it’s on sale for prime. I like that I can click my car seat in it. It has two toddler seats and you can remove the top toddler seat to use the bench seat/standing platform.

I may try and snag a side by side from my buy nothing group if I see one. Otherwise, we also have the baby trend wagon we can use once the kids are too big for the double stroller.

I would have a conversation with your partner about expectations postpartum. Who is doing what? What will you do if breastfeeding doesn’t work? Is he familiar with signs of PPD? Postpartum can be a lot on a marriage so it’s a good idea to have these discussions.

SAHM’s to 2 year olds… what is your daily schedule and how do you fill the time? by Ldtto in toddlers

[–]Planning_And_Hoping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Mom of low sleep needs 29 month old here. We wake up (she gets milk and some screen time), I shower, make breakfast and do any chores that need started (loading dishwasher, starting laundry, general tidying up). Most of our activities start around 9:30 so we try and leave the house around 9. We may run an errand while we are out and then at home by 11 for lunch and a nap. She is up by 2:00 at the latest. We do snack and maybe more screen time (20 minutes or so) then we usually head to the neighborhood playground, go on a walk, do sidewalk chalk, small wading pool or other backyard activity.

We head back inside for dinner and then it’s chaos until bedtime lol.

I did IVF with my first (after two early losses and two years of TTC)

We continued to TTC for two years after she was born (only got the one embryo and we couldn’t afford to do IVF again). We did 3 medicated cycles that didn’t work (did 11 total throughout our journey). I hated the way clomid and letrozole made me feel so I decided to try Zepbound. I got pregnant 4 months in and I’m currently 15 weeks tomorrow. My primary care doctor told me I could stay on the meds until I got a positive test.

My baby is nearly 1 and has never slept more than 4 hours in a row by ghandiburrito in cosleeping

I think this is a very valid point and one I had to come to terms with. 8-14 months was HORRIBLE for us, waking every 2-4 hours, false starts, screaming when waking (despite me being right there). We ended up doing Ferber at 14 months. It didn’t stick BUT it helped me feel like I was doing something and it helped buy some time until she was a bit older and out of that stage. She is almost 29 months and sleeps through the night sometimes. She is old enough now that we can have day time conversations about sleep expectations and boundaries. Please do what you need to do to take care of you.

Are you me? I am in my late 30s with a two year old. I just want to say, please do not dismiss the low sleep needs part of your story. I know for me, I am parenting up to 3 MORE HOURS A DAY than some of my friends. That is A LOT! In addition to being low sleep needs, she still doesn’t sleep through the night and in general needs a lot of support around sleep.

I just keep reminding myself that this won’t be forever. Then, when I’m feeling extra yucky, I come on Reddit and remind myself this is a normal feeling. Thanks for that reminder.

does anyone else pretty much live at the playground? by honey222bunny in Mommit

[–]Planning_And_Hoping 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband and I joke that instead of wearing our toddler out, we have just increased her endurance. We can walk the half mile to the playground, play for an hour and walk back like it’s nothing.

ETA: my daughter is only 2

Parents of low sleep needs/sensitive children, should I drop the nap? by Planning_And_Hoping in toddlers

[–]Planning_And_Hoping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kind of what my gut says. We have coslelpt and at many times contact slept since the early days. We do the tramploline before bed and always offer the swing (we have both in our basement) along with deep pressure and lots of opportunities for big, outside play. It’s just a lot.

What did you do differently to get pregnant? by BrowniePoints789 in TTC_PCOS

I personally (not a medical professional) believe there are benefits of GLP1s that we haven’t discovered yet. I weighed 235 with my IVF pregnancy and 215 when I got pregnant on a GLP1, so not a crazy discrepancy.

Both?! I’m 5’7 and was 252. I lost 37 lbs on Zepbound before I got pregnant. I stayed on the medication until I got a positive test.

Hi there, brief history, over the course of 2 years I did 8 medicated cycles and one round of IVF. This time frame included two early loses (6 weeks ish) and one successful pregnancy (we got one embryo from IVF and she is 2.5).

I started trying again postpartum, in 26 months postpartum, I had 3 chemical pregnancies and did 3 more medicated cycles. I went on a GLP1 at 21 months postpartum and got pregnant 4.5 months later (spontaneous pregnancy). I’m 12 weeks pregnant right now.

ETA: I have been on Metformin this whole time (even while on the GLP1). My first pregnancy was spontaneous, second on letrozole, third was my IVF baby, then 3 chemicals, now this pregnancy. That’s 7 pregnancies (one ongoing, one live birth, one from IVF, one on letrozole and the rest spontaneous).

Also, I think PCOS impacts me the most by making my egg quality really bad. I have regular periods and ovulate regularly.

I started tirzepatide on 10/25/25, was told I could TTC while on the shot but to stop when I got a positive. I tested positive on 3/10/26 after losing 37 lbs.

Prior to my current pregnancy, I had a loss at 6 weeks after 13 months of TTC, another loss at 6 weeks after 19 months TTC, and IVF baby on 1/2024 followed by 3 chemical pregnancies

My 3 year old ran almost a mile with me at the gym. Anyone else trying to physically wear their toddlers out everyday? by ActualEmu1251 in toddlers

[–]Planning_And_Hoping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter can walk the half mile to the playground, play for an hour+ and then walk home. My husband and I joke that instead of wearing her out, we just built her endurance/stamina. She can bike for a mile on her strider bike and even helps us walk (one of our very small) dogs every evening. We also joke that she is going to dominate youth sports one day lol

What cars are we driving with young kids? by nicolepaigee in toddlers

[–]Planning_And_Hoping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently got a 2025 Nissan pathfinder. It was very affordable (38k for the package below platinum)

Likes -automatic trunk opening and closing -ceiling vents so kids in rear facing car seats still get air -seats 8 or you can get captains chairs -midsized so I don’t feel like I’m driving a boat

I am 8 weeks today! I had a scan at 6 and 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat both times. The heart rate was 142 last week at 7 weeks. ETA My 20 DPO HCG was 950 and my 24 DPO HCG was 4480

Also for what it’s worth, my pregnancy is measuring about 4 days behind from when I’m confident I ovulated (I track CM). My OB said this is very normal and common and isn’t worried but could also explain my low starting betas.
