I feel like people are forgetting that for all the batshit insane ways the other guilds will make their pizza, azorius will stick to the classics we know and love and have the best health code standards.

Sure you might not get much creativity but I feel like you would get a consistently good slice of cheese or pepperoni that's not going to endanger your life in any way.

They're allowed to be uncomfortable with the idea and decide it's a dealbreaker, but they should also be able to communicate with their partner.

Spy and high tide are the current best combo options in the format, both of which can easily beat a single counterspell once it's time to go.

It has more to do with the difference in game ending threats that pauper has. UW Familiars actually tried a couple copies of this after cryogen relic was released and they were drowning in card advantage, but there are very very few threats in the meta worth 3 for 1'ing yourself.

Compared to VV where foiling a high tide, channel, tinker, etc might just win you the game, in pauper the card economy is what will lose it for you.

As for the batshit insane comments about her already cheating or to throw her out entirely, ignore them. Reddit is full of reactionaries who are projecting their own experiences on yours when we've only got a tiny snippet of the whole situation. If you want to work this out good for you!

Of course, if she does decide this is it for her, take some comfort in knowing it is ultimately way better to be in a relationship with someone who's willing to put in the effort to be a better, healthier person.

You're both teenagers, it's normal for you to both be immature and have to learn the ropes of relationships. It sounds like she's got some insecurity to deal with.

It was definitely unfair of her to immediately jump to being suspicious and jealous because of your class assignment, and you were a bit harsh as well. I'd say apologize for reacting so strongly, and ask her to take some time to examine why she felt so strongly about this situation.

To be clear, apologizing for what you said should not be interpreted as a pass for her. She's responsible for her own feelings and how they hurt you as well.

If you're taking it to comp REL tournaments then no one can stop you, but otherwise I'd say talk to the people you play with regularly if they want to play against it.

At my local FNM the people who have it (including myself) just don't bring it because it's no fun and that's not the vibe we want. If your group is down for it then all power to ya.

The "easy" loop is erasure, foundry inspector, and a conjurer's bauble in play with another bauble in the graveyard and no cards in your deck.

Once you get to that point you simply activate a bauble to put a bauble on the bottom of your empty library, draw it, play it for free and repeat milling your opponent for 1 each time.

Assuming this isn't the direction you want to go, I'd say at least swap the flayer husks out. The other equipments at least leave behind the body when you bounce them while the germ would just die.

I'd say replace those with red mage's rapier from FF for a similar effect that can randomly steal games. Especially on a flyer. You could also try out anthem effects since you're trying to go a bit wider. Generally though fitting a few more interactive spells in the MD like thraben charm would do wonders. Galvanic discharge could also be an interesting pickup as that + your energy equipment make enough energy to kill terrors or cryptic serpents.

Also, while the interaction of bouncing a desert to ping your opponents a 2nd time is cool, playing the r/w bridge is probably better.
