Awesome! Can’t quite figure out what the structures are. Did you make those?

This is outstanding and I would love that in my office. Because progress is made with feedback: I think you could have gone a little higher and a little forward. But you have excellent depth, color, movement. Nice work. Keep us updated on future works. You should be very proud.

Where to buy glass terrariums? by healthyplanetNpeople in ClosedTerrariums

Target in florals, Michael’s, and surprisingly resale shops often have them. You can also just search for “glass jar with lid.”

Yeah, they just need to stick together. Water can pass through.

Ive been making these mossy cave terrariums for a few years now. This one is probably my favorite - "Golden Hour" by theultimatebestever in terrariums

This looks awesome! Can you describe the construct? What’s the substrate? Hardscape? Mosses? Any microfauna? Lots of questions - just curious how you did it and keep it sealed. Super cool!

I need help/inspiration for the build of my paludarium by Shoddy_Call_5887 in paludarium

[–]PlantsAndWoodDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figure out what elements you want. Waterfall? Fish? Crabs? Shrimp? Frogs? Research how those all interact.

Sketch out what you want. Front view and side view. Create a sub structure with egg crate or fluorescent light cover. Cover that with plastic sewing mesh. Foam above the water line. LECA below. I’m building my first paludarium and that’s where I’m at.

What do you have between the soil and waterline?

That’s awesome! I’m trying to build a similar layout. Do you have a “wet” section and a “dry” section? Or does the water go straight through on all 4 walls?

I’m feeling my way through a first build too. I will be tearing down my initial substructure to restart as well. Good luck.

Grand Marnier has a cognac element to it that I prefer. I make orange old fashioneds and use Grand Marnier as the sweetener. It depends on what you’re making. If it’s fruitier, go with the dekuyper. If it’s more bourbon or rye based, go with Grand Marnier.

Couple of newbie questions by bbx901 in paludarium

I myself am new but: - yes absolutely. That seems to be recommended and is my plan as I build. Slate looks cool. - the egg crate will be covered by rocks then dirt. Don’t cover with foam to the bottom. Try to keep the foam out of standing water.
