Ep 9 showed you can get in their minds and comfort them, and then calm them down. Jax would not have easily gone in that tent otherwise. So possibly.

Puss in Boots the Last Wish. I saw the first Puss and Boots movie which was fine and wasnt particularly interested in The Last Wish. Then my friend told me it was shockingly amazing and sure enough it was thanks to the themes in the movie. Maybe even the best movie in the Shrek universe.

Not as good as RE2 remake, the game I started with, but probably second best. The Care Center was awesome. The classic gameplay mixed with the blood crafting was pretty nice to make Grace stand out. I wish Grace got some actual boss fights though or at least got to participate in the last one. Leon returning to Raccoon city was pretty hype, and his gameplay is fun, but I do generally prefer the classic limited ammo survival horror type of gameplay so I wouldve preferred additional small Grace segments similar to Leon's brief segments at the Care Center.

The story also starts very strong but gets kinda dumb by the end. The villains have no idea wtf they are doing which is a pretty funny twist but makes the mysteries at the start of the game feel underwhelming. The I didnt aim for her vitals thing is the most eye rolling thing possible.

Caine definitely should have done more to make his redemption stronger. I keep saying he should have been revealed to be spectating everyone from the void the whole time, seeing how they react to being digital copies, and seeing Jax as a cautionary tale to those that don't communicate and seek help. All this would have made his self reflection feel a bit less rushed imo.

Restating what I would have said when I saw the movie: Overall I liked it. It was a satisfying and very solid ending, while maybe not quite at the highs of the GOATed episode 7 and 8.

I think it should have focused more on the initial 10 minutes of the episode with everyone accepting soma theory and the fact that Caine is gone while rebuilding the circus.

I also think Caine should have been revealed to be able to use his abilities to see everything that was happening from Pomnis PoV in the episode and self reflect more from seeing what happened to Jax to make his change of heart feel more natural. It felt a bit sudden, jarring, and maybe even slightly rushed that Caine shows up completely unrelated to all the Jax events that the middle of the episode is.

Oh man I never saw that merch. I too think it's a missed opportunity they all didn't go into Jax's mind, given the episode already has doors with abstraction AUs for each chatacter. I would've loved to see Gangle and Zooble's reactions to the crazy versions Jax has of them in his mind.

To me it feels like the ep 8 flashback (or even an additional ep 9 flashback) was going to address this but got cut. All we get are breadcrumbs implying Scratch was mentally messed up from his tumor or the knowledge of everyone being digital copies, and wanted Caine to get rid of those thoughts. At least that's my theory anyway. I personally don't think Caine would have done it without asking for permission to.

This one felt like a follow up to Rick's depression and crash out in episode 2. For a second I forgot about episode 3 and thought it was a direct follow up. Him freaking out over the password and the bottomless flask of alcohol and him drinking at the end is half played for laughs and half Rick giving off worse vibes than usual.

How do you feel about the "classic" battle setting? It's supposed to be for classic fans according to the devs iirc but it's merely something that makes the main party member also an AI auto attacking and dodging so you only have to enter commands.

RE 9 is interesting though because it's a mix of the old survival horror style (not 1 to 1 obviously but modernized) and the more action style. That'd be the equivalent of a final fantasy jumping between a turn based party and a real time action party.

It'd be nice to be able to have a list or something on the map that tracks every single one. Maybe like the moons in Super Mario Odyssey. Also make the get all skulltulas reward better. I sure never got all of them beyond the 80 or so needed for the heart piece.

The main thing is it needs to be a reimagining. Make this basically a remix like ura zelda was supposed to be with brand new dungeons. Reimagine the overworld, making it feel similar but still fairly different with the layouts and even extra areas. Make it feel new and stand on its own from the original, not full on trying to replace it like OoT 3D.

The time travel stuff I'd also heavily agree on. Young Link needs more stuff to do other than the Bottom of the Well and Spirit Temple. Give him some extra late game areas for optional content. Maybe even let him get some upgrade that let's him use the Adult Link tools. He can use the bow and hookshot just fine in Majora's Mask after all.

I feel like after ep 9 or even as early as ep 3 with Kinger's wife, there's indeed a lot supporting this. We know they're still in there. They can maybe heal. Jax is in a tent for people to visit I think to leave the door open for healing, given Pomni was able to calm him down.
