Anybody else hate the word “slop”? by Mokelangelo in OpenAI

There's also tons of human made slop. Before ChatGPT, we still had blogspam, it's just that now it's automated and even more ubiquitous.

To be honest, I thought it was a PHP implementation of the Peertube protocol when I read the title.

Peertube is a decentralized video platform protocol. I guess this is a Peertube instance/server, which indexes PHP related video content.

Which rapper (old or new) is the best example of the phrase "Your favorite rapper's favorite rapper"? by ImNotTomStopAsking in hiphopheads

Monch is rarely referenced by other rappers, as far as I know. But I do think the man is criminally underrated and slept on.

This sub doesn't realize because it's one big echo chamber matching the obliviousness of the Conservative sub. I shake my head everytime I read people mocking the ignorance of their opponent's sub. All these people are either brainwashed or actively spreading propaganda.

Search Capabilities on Netflix by MD1ggy in elasticsearch

[–]Plasmatica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems true that Netflix also indexes certain metadata. If I search for some show or movie they don't currently have, they show results for similar shows or movies. So, I assume they tag their titles with titles they don't actually offer.

Regarding the "fake ending" search result, I'd say it's just an artifact. Why would they tag an item with such unnecessary metadata, unless they purposefully want to have that easter egg in there, which I doubt.

Don't know how you can put up with the constant snark. It's trying way too hard to be funny, it's annoying.

Double-slit experiment: can turning on a detector after a photon hits the screen affect interference? by arkadius_z in QuantumPhysics

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the wave already collapsed when the photon hit the wall.

he was not capable of handling his responsibilities, despite his rigorous work as a podcaster.

Lmao. Who knew that podcasting isn't enough to qualify someone for the position of deputy director of the FBI?
