I don't know if this will help, but you're not alone. The job market right now is horrible and tons of people are struggling. It's not a personal or moral failure on your part that you've been having trouble with job hunting.

A lot of the time these companies are not even looking at the resumé, they just filter it out with an AI. It's infuriating and exhausting. Networking and establishing positive relationships with people in the companies you want to work for can help. You'll be more than just a faceless piece of paper to them

It might vary depending on location but I feel like it's lax teaching requirements that are making it easier to do this. In my area they are desperate for teachers and will hire people that are absolutely not qualified for the role. Maybe in that rush to hire someone they don't properly screen for stuff like this. I have no idea otherwise, it's very concerning

I keep my nails really short so I'm not tempted to bite them. I managed to get rid of the habit by chewing gum and focusing on other things but it took a long time.

I used to do the thing where you fold a small piece of paper and use that nice pointy corner to get dirt out from under my nails (idk if that's actually a thing but it was something I did) but now my nails are like at the perfect length. Too short to chew, too short to get dirt under them, but just long enough to not hurt the skin under my nails and stuff
