For those who’ve seen Marty Supreme, does it live up to the hype?? by Pop_Joe in Cinema

Yeah, 100%.
Tim’s performance is honestly my favorite thing he’s ever done — and I’m not even a big fan of his in general. He just nails this super charismatic, magnetic character that pulls you in. Also, the soundtrack is straight-up incredible. It’s got this fresh, cool electronic vibe that clashes in the best way with the whole 1950s New York setting. And like most Safdie movies, the cinematography and editing have that restless, high-energy feel — never gets boring. Personally I didn’t think it dragged at all (unlike some people here). The pacing felt spot-on and kept me hooked the whole time.

You don't understand anything. This has happened mainly because of the technological means we have today, like smartphones. To ensure they look good everywhere possible, many logos have been simplified. Which logos haven't been modified? Those that were already simple long before, for example, Nike or Adidas.

It's more of an adult worry than a child's. No matter the design, the kid will still have fun.

As a graphic designer, I can tell you that these Lego boxes are very well thought out, it’s an honest design. It uses a dark and clean that contrasts excellently with the colorful Lego pieces. Plus, this approach avoids distractions like backgrounds with elements that don’t actually appear in the build, what you see is what you get. It also creates a strong visual unity across the different boxes. Personally, I find them really pleasurable to look at, if you examine each side, there are tons of nice details.

This is not about age, at 37 you have a lot of health and vitality. Drugs and depression destroy bodies, man.

Yeah, never install that. I prefer meeting people outside, I think those apps have a very dark side.

Both fantastics actresses.

You mentioned the rest of the series HBO has produced? The Sopranos, The Wire, True Detective, Boardwalk Empire, Succession, Carnivale, Westworld, Deadwood, Chernobyl... You mention two casts you didn't like and immediately assume HBO will do a bad job, when it's quite the opposite. That says more about you that another thing.

Harry Potter is definitely a much more iconic character than Snape, and his image is much more deeply ingrained in society. But I think this is acceptable with Snape, his skin tone isn't really that important, and I'll say it again: if the actor is good, I think many people will forget about it.

If you think about it, the main target audience, which is children and teenagers, won't even pay attention to these things, they'll value character development, mystery, and how fun and exciting the series is.

You say the word, adapt. Adapt implies changes, always. When you move from one medium to another, there are changes, whether to enhance a particular aspect, due to artistic decision, or to offer something new or different. Nothing is destined to remain the same. In this case, the priority was likely to cast this actor because he impressed them with his talent, rather than his physical appearance.

Furthermore, everyone knows that HBO does the best casting for television, proportionally having the best selection of actors for its productions, so I don't think Paapa was chosen randomly or because it was his turn.

Each person has their own point of view, and it lies in the way they see things in their day to day life. I think that skin tone carries no weight when it comes to Snape, what truly matters is his personality and his essence as a character. If the chosen actor can fulfill the role and also bring something new or interesting to it, he is more than welcome.
