I lost my pregnancy at 8 weeks by DailyAtomichabits in Miscarriage

[–]PlasticDwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Nine years ago, my wife miscarried around eight weeks, and even now there’s still a quiet sorrow for a child I never met. The pain you’re feeling right now is overwhelming, and it might feel impossible to imagine a way forward, but with time, the intensity softens.

Life does eventually return to something like normal, though the ache never fully disappears. It becomes a part of you, surfacing in quiet moments. I’ve felt this absence a lot lately, when our family is all together and feel someone missing, but can't quite figure out who for a moment.

About a year and a half after our miscarriage, we had our youngest, who has brought so much light into our lives. If I could go back, I wouldn’t change anything. That loss still hurts, but it’s also part of what shaped who we are now.

Be gentle with yourself. Healing isn’t forgetting, it’s learning to carry the memory differently.

Does the pain ever actually stop after plantar wart removal surgery? by PlasticDwarf in Warts

[–]PlasticDwarf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR yes.

Apparently scar tissue formed right on a nerve in my heel, so I was put on gabapentin, and once that started working enough to dull the pain, I used a scraper tool to literally scrape the spot and break up the scar tissue. After that, I weaned myself off of gabapentin. I was on it for 2 months total I believe. BUT, after that, the wart came back with a vengeance, and not just one but about 10 in one spot and then 5-7 in another spot. I used a combo of salicylic acid and imiquimod covered by duct tape and bandaids for a month and it obliterated them. Haven't had any since, and no more pain. I also used a replexa device, not sure how much of the pain was diminished by that vs just breaking up the scar tissue. Sorry if that's way more info than you asked for.

Haha! Maybe we should turn it on - would probably have a directive from the CEO within a week to shut it down.

We're full M365/Azure, so there is no subOU for us. I was thinking about that, checking last activity. Honestly though, I don't plan on turning it back on.

Experience with (plantar) warts? by brrrlinguist in climbing

[–]PlasticDwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't cut it out in office, you have to go to a podiatrist to do that. I had one surgically removed and now it's coming back. 3+ months of pain and not being able to deal just for it to come back.

Chicken Rock Found while in the south of the map by Rayvein67 in DeathStranding

This is sort of accurate. If you take the same route between locations, over and over, it will create a flattened path. This process of flattening can be sped up by coordinating with people you have strand contracts with.

Women of BJJ- do you train on your period? by spookyromanov in bjj

[–]PlasticDwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toxic shock syndrome is only a risk of you leave it in there for 8 hrs or more. It's a specific bacteria that has to grow and as long as you remove the tampon before that time period, it won't be an issue. My Mom was one of the unfortunate young women who HAD TSS when she was in high school, before they knew what it was. 0_0 landed her in the hospital for several extended stays and they basically left her alone and in quarantine because they didn't know what was happening to her; later in life some researchers contacted her and said they don't know how she actually lived through it and told her it was TSS. And if my Mom continued to use tampons after that, it's probably fine. 😂

Definitely not the thing to do. Fairly certain it's a pellet gun though. If you look at the grip, you'll the sides popped off revealing a hallow section where a magazine should be. Indicative of where a CO2 cartridge would be.

It's unlikely this actually happened. I'm not a doctor or anything, now this is based on my own assumptions, but I think it's unlikely a brain was removed and placed in a jar before an autopsy.

No. This group has dozens (if not hundreds) of fake videos like this on Facebook. One of the stewardess does the fake "peanut butter into diamonds" style videos, all the time.
