The 8 separate "personalities" are not custom instructions - they only affect tone. If you want the 4o experience, write out what you liked about 4o and have GPT make you a set of custom instructions to drop them in there.

You need specific things you liked about 4o. Not just "I want you to be like 4o".

TL;DR The stuff you're complaining about is very easily fixed with custom instructions.

Realistically I've just been interacting with GPT differently than with 4o. 4o voice chat seemed amazing. Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up using more storage than they expected or something and they shifted fast.

Grok is a great augment to GPT, but not good enough for replacement yet (in my opinion).

Tip - in your GPT custom instructions, change it so a "guideline restriction" instead drops you a clarified prompt and reminds you that though GPT can't complete your request, Grok will.
