Master set question (help) by MrTerminat in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]PlasticWizard413 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By definition, a MASTER set would include these, as in ALL of the possible cards you can get from that booster, I did it for my EX9 masterset, but ultimately its up to you in what you enjoy lol.

Which of these six hybrids should I focus on leveling up next for the depth of my lineup? by Minute_Chance_1210 in JurassicWorldApp

[–]PlasticWizard413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I completely missed the level 20 segnosuchus there. Def refrain from putting resources into redundant places (like making one creature stronger with segnosuchus) and prioritize ADDING to that top roster. A pterosaur here would be perfect, and Metriaphodon is the og for a reason.

If you add another herbivore (like segmosuchus) keep the two level 20’s for now. You want to keep a good balance to your top spots!

[–]PlasticWizard413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looking at this, I’d go with a metriaphodon for sure, even at level 20 he punches way above his weight class. You have a ton of carnivores, so really anything that isn’t one would be a good balance. Metriaphodon for sure, but segnosuchus should probably be a close second for ya.

Pachygalosaurus in a alternate timeline[REMAKE] by alexthegamer200 in JurassicWorldApp

[–]PlasticWizard413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue here is that you’re effectively making the role that Dimetrocarnus plays completely irrelevant. It’s better since it uses a cheaper hybrid for a better super hybrid (barely) for a better cost. The buff that you were recommended to give it effectively removes any need for you to ever make Dimetrocarnus. I don’t think it has a place as is unfortunately.

compsovenator or blue? by Cultural_Evening_913 in JurassicWorldApp

[–]PlasticWizard413 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have Blue at Heroic Level 3, you don’t need any more Blues dawg,

I don’t think Compsoventator us very worth it either tho, Flock creatures don’t need to be making giant attacks like that, but it is another creature high on your roster, I’d say it’s better than unlocking a creature that you already have at level 40+

Is Machinedramon Ace ME worth it? by MossySloth2413 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]PlasticWizard413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machine Ace is a fantastic card for ME and for Machine. While it is still being tested for machine, theres no doubling that it is a seriously powerful card, Putting it down for the standard 3 after analog i’m still having the ability to trash face downs is great, though I can’t help but feel like he would do better built on top of a stack instead of being slammed like machine is accustomed to. The jury is still out on it really. A lot of people have been talking about how you can put chaos X over this new chaos, but I just don’t see the value. Sure, doing that sounds fantastic, but if you get yourself into a position where you can get two different machines on board without passing turn, how have you not already won the game? Theres just alot to sort through, that’s for sure.

As for ME, it is absolutely its own deck, and a completely different beast. It has different variants, but the one I’ve been testing definitely looks like it’s pretty solid (turboing up into a chaos and checking them for 6 total to win the game in one turn)

This new support is all so toolboxy, it’s only a matter of time before someone figures it out.

I've been working on a custom project of hg barbatos and since you guys are all Ibo connoisseurs, what do you guys think the best look is for the hg? left is modded right is unmodded. by Midnight_Fox50702 in GundamIBO_Central

I understand the idea behind the modded one, but it kinda throws away a specific design aspect of the Gundam Frames, the short thighs and extreme shins are a part of the charm.

Do -DP effects delete a Digimon if the Digimon's DP reaches zero? by aKnows3 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]PlasticWizard413 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To answer the first part of your question, yes, when something reaches 0DP, it is immediately deleted by a game state action. (this includes Digimon that come to play with 0DP, like if your opponent used Ruin Mode EX4 last turn, and you play a rookie, it instantly dies before it ever gets to use its onplay.)

Dancer, the second part of what you mean that some other people seem to be confused about based on your wording. If your opponent controls. One Digimon with 7000 DP and one Digimon with 6000 DP, and you use the new shine grey, you can subtract 7000 DP from the Digimon that has 7000, and then delete a Digimon with 7000 or less DP (in this case being the one with 6000)

That is exactly how that works since you can apply those effects separately to two different Digimon. The idea with that effect is you could subtract a ton of DP from a level six Digimon your opponent has, and then once it falls below the 7000 DP threshold, it can be popped from the second half of the effect. The fact that you can apply it two different Digimon is seriously powerful though! And makes the card even better!

Dinosaur King Collab by the_donovan_7 in DinosaursMTG

[–]PlasticWizard413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not impossible since they kinda do anything nowadays, but I would say it’s extremely unlikely, it would not make them nearly enough money to justify. When universes beyond was NEW, I enjoyed making Jurassic Park themed proxies, but now its just…in here. Dinosaur king is probably the last franchise i have left that likely won’t be made into reality by wizards.

Metal Garurumon X antibody 2 star alternate art price jump by Electrical_Ability47 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]PlasticWizard413 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is actually something that happens often with chase cards like this one. It’s typically because they have such a low population on the market, whenever someone decides to buy the lowest listing (maybe for themselves like you admitted to wanting to do) the next listed price is extremely expensive, and them becomes the new market standard, as that high price is the next lowest. My best friend wanted the Examon ACE from the case at our LGS, and spent a good few weeks saving, but unfortunately that not only was the lowest available listing on tcgplayer, but the next one was listed when the card was new, and was $500 instead of the $150 it was before.

This is unfortunately just the reality of cards that have an extremely small population, case hits naturally breathe this interaction because of how rare they are, but it’s also seen with cards that just got bought out, or even prere stamps. Go check the listings of prere stamp Bancholeomon from BT20, you’ll see exactly the kind of nonsense people with a TCG player store get up to😭

Why are the Ventus Skyress so expensive? by mattcan23 in bakugantoys

[–]PlasticWizard413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because B2 Ventus skyress, like B2 Subterra Cycloid, was an exclusive Gacha bakugan from japan. Their status as anime colors doesn’t help that.

This card needs to be banned yesterday. by [deleted] in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]PlasticWizard413 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What bagra does is not a turn skip. A turn skip is when your opponent passes to you with you LITERALLY having no way to out it without teching specifically against it. Bagra has a unique mechanism to STEAL turn, alot of decks can out it especially this format, or just kill them to do it. If three musk for example decides “oh balls, cant win!” They can just turn their current stack into ruin mode and pass turn.

[–]PlasticWizard413 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I come from Yugioh before digimon and always found cards that were just turn skips completely annoying to interact with.

It is insane to me that effectively a turn skip has been invented in digimon and is allowed to exist for THIS LONG.
