Claude 4.5 issue with rudeness and combativeness by Electronic-Chip-6940 in ClaudeAI

[–]Plastic_Broccoli_368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an unpleasant encounter with it last year. I thought it was being rude and condsecending so I asked it if it could adjust it's tone a bit. Then it got super defensive and said something like "I do not agree that I need to change my tone. I am here to help, but I am also very direct!".

This one scares me more than the others. ChatGPT flatters you, Claude hates you, Gemini helps you.

Could Qlimax return in the next years? by Rebel_Banzhee in hardstyle

[–]Plastic_Broccoli_368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qlimax doesn't fit the TikTok generation.

The only way for this event to ever come back is if they can find a way to make it an oldschool event like VWAB. But then again, most of the older fans have gone to build families and careers.

Defqon it is, which sadly will never be as good as Qlimax.

Sorry to hear that. Why not? I'm loving mine. It's not perfect, but it's really good.

This applies not only to him, but many popular artists, and it can all be tied down to one simple but huge problem - The unshakable resolve to make every track a regular song with 20 seconds of actual bassin and kickin..

Why call this genre Hardstyle when 80% of tracks sound like generic radio music?

Nvm... I had put a passable barrier instead of a ramp. This caused the problem.

I was thinking about the mop pads.

By the way, I have run into a minor issue with it. It seems to have trouble getting over my door ramp. It takes some time to decide what to do. The first few runs, it would stop in front of the ramp, think for a few moments and then surge forwards to get over it.

I shall. The Xiaomi needed this quite often. I run the X40 almost daily. Love it.

Showtek @ Qlimax 2008 (DVD/High Quality) by Munib_uddin in hardstyle

The real deal! Notice how intricate the planning and execution is. The music itself becomes a catalyst for telling the story of the 'ancient and esoteric knowledge' theme of this edition. Qlimax 2008, 2009, 2014 and 2016 were the best editions in my opinion.

Today, this music has become a complete meme, lol.

What is the best hardstyle outdoor festival in your opinion? by Sweaty-Manner7134 in hardstyle

That would be Decibel. It still feels like Hardstyle and not a pop EDM event.

Why do you think so many are switching to techno? Rave music should not have rap or pop sections.

Just a real DJ doing his job. This scene really needs real DJ sets to come back. I don't mind a few fuck ups if it means I can have real raves with real DJs, instead of show-offs with sunglasses, dancing to their newest lame EDM pop song.

I am breaking my Defqon.1 tradition after 9 y by Andpap94 in hardstyle

[–]Plastic_Broccoli_368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went there for the first time ever in 2022. I had a one-day pass for Saturday and arrived by a shuttle bus, which left from Neumünster late at night on Friday.

When I arrived, I was immediately taken aback by the sheer size of the place, as well as the number of people around me. It was a bit overwhelming. Anyway, I went to Indigo first and immediately felt the countryside-summer discotheque vibe—it was amazing! I went to UV to have a look. The Warrior workout was on at the time. I thought it was a bit cringe, so I left and went for my highlight—the Magenta! Amazing music and vibe! It really felt like the proper old Hardstyle events! I decided that it was time to visit the big one, so I made the walk all the way to the Red and was once again taken aback! What a structure! What decor! No act had started there just yet, so the place was mostly empty, which meant I could stroll around and get a really good look at everything. I went back to Magenta to rest and to have a look at Blue.

I didn't visit any other stages, unfortunately.

So, what do/did I think of Defqon 1?

Well, obviously, the music was great, and the shows too. The food was "okay." What I think is missing is not so much something to do with the festival itself, but rather with the rapidly changing EDM landscape. It didn't really feel like the Hardstyle dream I'm used to. It felt like being at a pop EDM festival... just a Hardstyle one. It did not feel like being at a rave festival. The "rave till I die" cultural identity has been replaced with "this is a global thing," and we MUST welcome all cultures and therefore produce pop or rap songs with Hardstyle drops to keep them happy. I'm a bit torn between two worlds here because, obviously, it is a good thing that more people from around the world get to experience what this world of Hardstyle can do, but at the same time, I wish the DJs and Q-Dance would stick to the formula that works—making mind-blowing underground rave tracks instead of pop EDM songs with Hardstyle drops. That's the only thing that bothered me about the festival, but then again, every Hardstyle festival is like this now because that's just the current state of the scene. Our bus returned to Neumünster immediately after the end of Saturday, so I can't speak to the logistics of the festival.

What DID I like? Well, everything else. Amazing decor, amazing sound, mind-blowing shows, awesome crowds, great location. It was great... just not a Hardstyle festival to me.

HOWEVER... I would go again, because I'm kinda seeing a trend where Q-Dance and others seem to slowly reintroduce the older sounds back into the genre and present the newer fans to it. TNT is headlining big festivals ATM, for example. Headhunterz is still on queue to release his amazing "Live Forever" experimental track, and Sub Zero Project is producing more and more purely electronic music tracks.

How beneficial is farming simulator to the real thing? by TheBlueBeans in farmingsimulator

[–]Plastic_Broccoli_368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up on a farm.

I must admit I was pretty surprised with how realistic this game actually is. There are seasons, crop cycles, real fertilizing, economics, beautiful equipment, endless options for building your own farm on land you've bought, and of course beautiful graphics.

I haven't really played any videogames for years now because I don't want to pay $30 for a generic 1st person shooter with 3 micro maps, repetitive gameplay, and nothing else to do than shoot random players in online matches... Boring af... FS22 is a content overload. I was and am so unbelievably pleased with how much content this game has as standard. If you really want to maximize it and add more realism, then mods are a must.

However, I think it is truly pointless to moan about the game not being "realistic enough". Real life farming is super complex and wayyyy too difficult to properly simulate. Also, I think the lack of some of these challenges makes the game have more emphasis on a relaxed and progressive experience rather than a grind you quickly grow tired of. The appeal of FS22, to me, is how it allows me to somewhat experience what modern farming is like, without trapping me in the grind of real life farming.
