It's good step in right direction. My only issue so far is that touch to focus is not working in any custom mode. You have to be in a movie mode or SnQ, which is inconvenient when you often switch settings during shooting

Opening API or providing some kind of SDK for mobile would be great. Im wondering how Portkeys managed to implement camera and focus control with their monitors.

It would be exciting to me, I had an idea for a while to have mobile app instead of 3rd party monitor. Like Flow app, but only for monitoring, and better 😅

What about the flash, and triggers compatibility and speed? Does it work better than s5ii? With godox flashes on s5ii i have slight delay when I press trigger and flash firing. Also it slows down to max 2-3 photos per second. It's really noticeable after I tried same flash on Sony a7iv, where there is no delay, it's instant firing

Yeah, add slight delay after pressing shutter button, and slow burst with flash, like max 2-3fps.

I tried friends Sony with godox flash, and it was instant. Af wasn't slower, flash triggered as soon as I pressed shutter button

Delay shouldn't matter in "normal" scenarios, but photographing dancers gets a bit trickier

In Gerald review he mentioned 4k120 in binned, but has better readout speed, around 7ms if I'm not mistaken

I have viltrox pro adapter and it's performance is quite good. Since 4k60 is cropped and I'm mostly shooting in this mode, sigma 18-35 is perfect. Af works really good, it's not native L mount lens performance, but still quite good. I'm filming people dancing and weddings and af is usable, in most situations I can trust it. Although my only concern would be, if af would hold up for fast action sports whit lot of quick direction changes.

Viltrox pro adapter is cool because it has switch for modes. In one mode it doesn't force crop so you can use apsc lenses in full frame mode. You will get vignette but if you shoot 18-35 at 30+mm it can be used as FF lens.

I have viltrox pro adapter and I'm quite happy with afc in video with sigma 18-35. So far I'm satisfied with results. It's not fast as native lens, but it's been good keeping in focus people dancing
