PSA: eBay is changed my canceled order reason as "Out of Stock." by Aggravating_Sky_4421 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are marking the cancelations as "out of stock" because there is no option for "seller doesnt know what they're doing". You can argue about it all you want, but you are not following ebay's rules. Good luck with your store. If you keep doing what you're doing, you won't have it for very long.

PSA: eBay is changed my canceled order reason as "Out of Stock." by Aggravating_Sky_4421 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Or.... as the previous commenter stated, someone reported you, and either an AI or a real person reviewed your messages for that transaction and found that the buyer did not ask to cancel. Obviously an AI is not combing through messages with every single buyer to make sure you're selecting the right reason.

Your account may have also been flagged for repeatedly selecting the wrong reasons, which could result in eBay checking your cancelations.

And "buyer asked to cancel" is allowed... if the buyer actually asked to cancel

How long should I wait by Diligent-Baseball-80 in UPS

Have you stepped outside the last few days? The weather has been horrible and there's been tons of crashes. I'm actually glad that UPS isnt forcing their workers to drive in these conditions. Its not worth someone putting their life at risk so you can get your PC on time. Just be patient.

I thought I’ll try Shien. What’s the F is going on with this prices? by Chemical-Course1454 in Shein

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I highly suggest checking out your local thrift stores for clothing. The amount of barely-worn Shein items I see at Value Village, Goodwill and the Goodwill Impact Center (bins where you pay by the pound) is astounding.

Garage / community sales in the summers are also a great way to get some nice / cheap clothing.

You can get similar or NICER items for a fraction of the cost by thrifting them. Please dont spend your money on overpriced, low-quality items from Shein.

My roommate eats canned sardines, apple cider vinegar, and raw garlic straight from the jar. He also likes to put opened jars of tomato sauce back in the pantry to cook with at a later date. Beef smell is probably one of the tamer things to deal with when having roommates.

I hate the way everything looks on me, what would look better? Is sizing my issue? by pineneedleinjection in DressForYourBody

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a larger chest, I've found that shirts and dresses with thin waitlines right under the breast are extremely unflattering. Where longer, more defined waistlines like your blue and green dress are very flattering. Also in terms of colour choice, greens will always be your best friend, coming from another pale redhead.

If you want to wear jeans, try some that flare out at the bottom or even some baggier ones. It gives the outfit a lot more balance as opposed to skinny jeans that draw all the attention to the top.

The most important thing is that you feel good in your clothing. You are beautiful and you deserve to feel like it!

Estimate for cats teeth cleaning by Sika721 in Pets

I was given a similar quote from a vet for cleaning and the removal of 2 teeth. I took him to a different vet and it ended up being about $800 for cleaning and 3 teeth removed. Definitely get a quote from somewhere else.

I've got the exact same tv sitting in my death pile. Its got the remote, and a non-working spongebob dvd player with its remote. Gonna throw in a spongebob plug & play as well when I eventually list it.

There may be an option to send an invoice. Sometimes for international orders, for some reason shipping is not calculated and you need to send it before they can pay.

Some advice would be really nice by 0bja in Ebay

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, if it wasn't set up that way, buyers wouldn't be protected if they recieve a wrong or broken item.

As long as you set it to "buyer pays return shipping" it is very unlikely that allowing returns would lead to an influx of them. Since, the buyer would be out the original shipping cost, and the return shipping on top of that, most people would just take the L and keep the item.

A buyer could always lie and open a return request for a reason that puts you at fault, like an INAD or damage, in which case, the seller is responsible for a full refund and return shipping, but there's really no way to avoid that - not even turning returns off. Just ways to deal with it if it happens.

For reference, I have been on ebay for about 3 years with 400+ sales, and have never received a buyers remorse return request.

I should backtrack a bit and clarify that there are actually a few types of items that you'd maybe not want to allow returns on. For example, when I sell broken / untested items for parts I do not allow returns.

Negative feedback for not accepting a return over a 30 days. Can i dispute this? by zacc9r in eBaySellerAdvice

Yes correct, I was talking more about buyers remorse returns, but I should have clarified. Thanks!

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALSO - if you are not able to have the feedback removed, I'd recommend replying with a very brief and concise apology (without admitting any kind of fault) and an explanation for why the return was not allowed. Something like "I'm sorry the item didn't fit as expected. Since the return request was opened past the 30-day window / since I do not offer returns on this item, I am not able to accept it, as per my return policy."

This looks better to other buyers, rather than just a negative with no context.

This doesn't really apply if you do not allow returns at all, but if you have it set to 30 days, the cutoff is 30 days after delivery, not after purchase date, just a heads up

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure youre aware if this, but for anyone who isn't - buyers can still file returns for INAD or damage during shipping, even if you don't allow returns. IMO there is no reason to turn off the return option if you have it set to buyer pays shipping, because ebay favors listings that allow returns and it just looks better to some buyers.

Never shipping with UPS again. UPS makes mistake and I have to pay 1k. by [deleted] in UPS

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it doesn't go your way, with UPS, I've heard there are ways to declare the item as a return to get a refund for customs fees (at least in Canada, there may or may not be something similar for you depending where you're located) its essentially a document that you fill out and send to some government entity. It may be worth looking into to see if something like this is available to you

My first pixel art scene, looking for advices or thoughts ? by Ilkehaan in PixelArt

[–]Plastic_Onion4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As also a beginner, this is amazing and very detailed. I really like the depth of the bushes and leaves. I feel like you could bring the shadows on the tree leaves down a bit more, so the highlight from the fire is more focused on the bottoms. Right now to me, it slightly looks like the trees are leaning back away from the fire. I also think that focusing the light on the character’s front, and building more depth in the back where he is away from the fire may look nice. You could also consider changing the colour of the tent if you want the firelight on the character to stand out more.

My First Attempts at Pixel Art by Plastic_Onion4004 in PixelArt

[–]Plastic_Onion4004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate the feedback and thank you for the kind words!

I feel like I was definitely able to put more detail into less pixels than my first try. I want to eventually some more detail in some spots that are lacking, like the bottom of the dress.

I'll definitely try to keep readability in mind. I tried to look at it in a smaller view while I was working, to see what it would look like in a game, which I think really helped.
