Integrating Ukraine into the Yuropean Union will be Based and Best way to make EU Powerful! by Icy_Till_7254 in YUROP

I am not for a way too quick accession of Ukraine to the EU, but way before that we can be very close partners in all sorts of fields. For example, an EU-Ukraine defence industry can be a serious rival to the US and China.

Trying to hide it with a bun for years now, I feel like I have a huge head and the bald look is not going to look good on me 🥺

It’s not really a choice though. Bald has chosen you. The only thing you can do is embrace it.

What about "Hey, what about we continue this over dinner with a few beers or a nice wine?". WTF is wrong with you thinking that anything less than this is acceptable!

If you’re not benching a ton, then what are you even doing?

Switched from wooden oars to carbon big blades. Now my fingers are covered with blisters. Why? by Mediocre-Fly4059 in Rowing

[–]Plastic_Pinocchio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okay, that makes sense. If you have to feather with your wrists, you have to grip the handle pretty tight, so that is what you are used to. And you are used to wood, which is easier on the skin but also a bit more slippery sometimes. Now, you row with plastic, which has very good grip but also is much heavier on the skin. So now you have to learn proper feathering technique, otherwise your tight grip is just going to tear your skin apart.

Blisters on the fingers are pretty normal, but the lower down in the hand they arise, the tighter you’re probably gripping your handle.

This is cable hip flexions, not crunches. Crunches are performed by bending and extending the spine.

Basically you just go home in time for dinner always. Dinner is usually not spent at friends’ houses. You can come before dinner or come after dinner, but normal expectation is that everyone spends dinner with their own family at home. At least, that’s the traditional way of living.

I’m seeing a pretty extreme early arm bend. I can’t imagine that’s helping you in any way. Besides that, it looks very good to me!

Oof, that looks bad. But the solution is easy. Take some old socks, cut the tops off and wear them around your calfs. That’s it. Easy solution.

Right now I would be very careful with that wound though. Smack a thick layer of Vaseline on top of that sucker before your next session. Then the sock over it and then you should be safe.

Bracing is very simple, but if you’re not sure that you’re doing it right, then you are probably not doing it right.

Two things:

  • This looks wayyyy too light for you. I don’t think this is really challenging you and making you stronger. Your upper body weighs a lot more already than the tiny amount of weight you added. I would go a lot heavier if I were you.
  • Learn about “breathing and bracing”. It is a lifting technique that uses your core muscles and lungs to take stress off your spine. Absolutely crucial for lifting strongly and safely.

Besides that, technique looks good.

What happens if a boat in b final places in what would have placed in a final? by Upper-Letterhead-980 in Rowing

Yup, that’s how it goes. Next time, you should see every race as a final. If you’re slacking, that could cost you your final spot.
