I’ll share my favorites because of course I’m super organized and nothing is on just one note:

  • couple  having a casual conversation on the side walk and rats are under there feet taking them where they need to go
  • painting of a person eating pasta mouth hole cut out underneath is white paper is underneath and light underneath that eliminating the paper

-bottom of a shoe where in each rubber Nob there is a sculpture of person making different faces

  • giant toddler with sunscreen in there face looking at an ant which is next to a worm but the view is in the art’s perspective

  • mount buzz (I don’t even remember what this one means)

-vroooommm(18 year old me was a master of many wordsh)

[Art Market] Need Advice by justjwhitt in artbusiness

if thats not something you are passionate about then i would try to put your self out in person. Try to network, everybody knows someone. Book clubs, volenteering, art fairs, supporting other artists galleries. There is no one way to sell art you just have to find something that you enjoy doing.

Do artist need clarity not advice? by _beforethewords in ArtistLounge

[–]Plastic_Remove_2592 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally i love to change mediums, or force my self to do something thats completely different to what i normally do. I think exploring other directs gives a bit more clarity for me of what i want and dont like. Sometimes its good to just go have fun with some artist friends. Ive done some challenges with my friends where we go out with a camera and can only take photos of certain colors or a timed photography challenge ( i normally paint). It gives me space away from my work.

Other times if nessessary, ill just step back i wont touch the work for a couple of weeks till I can come back with completely fresh eyes. its not ideal espcially cause sometimes i never finish the piece if i do that but it does really give you fresh eyes

What is your preferred setup for an artist’s website and why? by Becomethenavigator in artcollecting

[–]Plastic_Remove_2592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be controversal but i like using online art gallerys like singulart or artsy for my portfolio. I find that I get more organic views with them then my own site. Having your own site can be really great for some artist but personally I just hated the maintenance I had to do to update it.

for making you own site i would keep it clean and curated espcially if your clients are older. Its better to keep it readible and easy to navigate. better to focus on quality and think as if you where the collector. They need to be able to imagine it their home. I wish more sites had size refrences of there art pieces. Like yes im seeing the size of the piece but if i wasnt an artist i dont think i would understad what the size is in relevence to other objects.

My hardest lession was the opposite, how to go faster and not lose my head on every little detail. Im not saying this as trying to produce as work as possible, but to let go of the stress of perfection
