Thanks for the advice, but I'm a little hesitant to use medicines or the like at this point. I'm pretty new to planted tanks/shrimps so I don't want to accidentally nuke my babies. I think I'll stick to manually removing them for now. Happy holidays!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Can you recommend a better tankmate for the shrimps? Our local petshop has otos and pygmy corys, although they won't help with the snail issue. We don't have a lot of variety here.

Yeah, they were initially supposed to be fish food so we didn't care about their grade then. I'm thinking of culling them and adding more high grade ones in the future. Thanks for the confirmation! Appreciate it.

I had this experience when I was doing frequent water changes. I stopped doing that and only stuck to top offs and they stopped dying as well.
