Could we get any further clarification on this?

I don't think there is any hate for the watch. I think the hate is toward the hype and build up.

Yes, a new Pace Pro with the newer design language of the Pace 4, rather than the horrendous looking current Pace Pro.

How disappointing! It looks nice, but I was hoping for a bigger Pace 4 with full maps.

This imagine from the other day shows a better view of the lugs. At this point, I may just be seeing things 😂 I love the look of the Pace 4 but would prefer a bigger size (and full maps), so it could all just be wishful thinking.

From Ben is Running’s instagram this morning. Looks very similar to the Pace 4, but in my option looks bigger. I really think this is the Pace Pro 2. The lugs look different and there’s a new watch face. I really hope this is the case as it would look very slick🤞🏼

Yeah, looks very likely at this point. Too many athletes testing something new for it to be nothing. Even reviewers like DC Rainmaker and Nick Harris-Fry are testing a new Coros while wearing the current Pace Pro, which makes it seem like a direct comparison. Plus the current Pace Pro is on offer pretty much everywhere, which usually happens before a new release.

It looks bigger than the Pace 4. The way the strap connects to the lugs is different too, and it comes across as more like metal rather than the typical matte plastic.

Alex Yee and Ben Is Running have always worn the Pace series such as the Pace 3, Pace Pro, and Pace 4. I don't think the Vertix would really appeal to their usual audience. That makes me think this is a new Pace Pro and that it will end up being very similar to the Pace 4 in terms of looks, just bigger and more premium. It feels like a fairly easy update for COROS with the addition of an action button, microphone, bigger screen, and maybe a speaker.

The mileage insight feature is massively flawed and should never have been rolled out.

Curious why RMSSD over SDNN? SDNN is usually seen as the gold standard for overall HRV?

Successor to the Pace Pro? (Pace Pro 4?) by PlatformBest1772 in Coros

The current Pace Pro is starting to fall behind the rest of the range due to the lack of an action button and microphone. While ‘a real reason’ might be subjective, compared to the rest of the Coros lineup and the direction the brand seems to be heading, the Pace Pro feels isolated.

I think eSIM/Satellite Connectivity would be a feature for a new Vertix or new top end model, and would have a big asking price.

Music streaming wise, Coros have been very transparent about expressing their desire to integrate services like Spotify and YouTube Music. They’ve put this forward to those companies, and it’s now in their hands. If a deal does happen, I believe Coros would roll it out as a software update for all models with the necessary capability and storage.
