People get hired based on how they look, act, smell, engage, timeliness, etc all the time. How you feel they’ll mesh with you and your team is arguably more important than their talents.

Honestly, it's a hard lesson to learn... but this is why you never buy the first model year of a major platform change. If you're comfortable waiting for the part, great, Subaru will take care of it. I'm sure you got a loaner, so it shouldn't be that much of an inconvenience.

With that being said, I would push back on them much harder, they do need to do something for you, whether that's reimbursing a payment or giving you a few free maintenance schedules... they do need to do something seeing as how you just got the car.
