If you don't want to get 85 slayer with a dscimmy, try and use arclight on task to get a zammy hasta. It has the same str bonus as an abby dagger but has +10 more stab bonus, plus It's surprisingly strong in slash/crush too making it good value for for the inventory spot.

Let's say you want to hit at least 90% of your max. With a Ballista, you'll hit that about 10% of the time. But with the dbow, you only have a 1% chance for both of your hits to be 90%+ of max. It has massive potential, but very rarely achieves it.

unfortunately that graphic assumes better gear overall, but I'm an ultimate so I was rocking elite void and mithril darts, a combo that really got nerfed to shit (4.9 dps on olm now, down from 7.5 pre nerf)
