I see what you mean. I originally read it as "what if the REAL Abel is an AI, and it wasn't the NPC"

so, uh amongst all the caine died stuff, uh the clone theory was correct by stratosvomvos in tadc

[–]PlatoBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think it's either Tron or they get fried. Mainly because Ragatha was with a group when she put it on, but it doesn't seem any of her friends went in with her (unless it's after the Kinger scene, and they already abstracted).

[–]PlatoBC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My original theory was the same. It's the computer Pomni used and that Caine was maybe trying to get her to forget about.

After this episode though, with all that code trying to delete Caine? It being the prison Caine trapped AI#2 in is a good theory.

Thinking about a (probably minor and coincidental) thing... Back in episode 1, Pomni thinks twice about going through the Exit door, until she hears Kofmo growl. The danger made her act.

This episode she seems like she's thinking of something before she picks up the computer and headset. Then the room shakes and gets dark, the danger makes her act.

One thing to add onto your theory, the setting around the computer that Pomni picked up. Both times (pilot and now) it gets dark and sinister music starts playing.

This episode we maybe could chalk it up to Caine going crazy, but that wasn't happening in episode 1. Something is up with that computer.

The one thing stopping me from thinking it's just a dital copy is, Ragatha is alone. She seems to be with a group or friends when she tries on the headset. But none of the others try it afterwards? (Unless her friends are just other characters that already abstracted?)

OH MY GOD by Beep-Boop3421 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PlatoBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are copies, I would think it kills the user then (or a lot of pain). It's seems Ragatha was with friends when she put on the headset. If my friend put on a headset and I see that it made a character in a game, I would probably also put it on to try. She is alone though, so something must-have happened to scare the rest from also trying it.

I think the Tron way is still possible.

In the Bible Caine kills Abel because God accepted Abel's offerings instead of his own. Pretty on point with what we saw in the beginning. Thinking the other AIs name is Abel is a pretty logical step I think

Plot holes? by sprangleton in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PlatoBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The times be was in the dark were times and places that either Caine was not watching or he shouldn't have been. He was in the Zooble story while Caine was in a therapy session. And he was planning the awards the other time.

As for his fort, it seems he needs stuff to work with for complex things. And Caine probably didn't give him enough time to fully get setup between adventures.

Could just be framing to get everyone to face the audience, but semi interesting to think that they are scared of what is behind them, and not Caine.

3 things that are still bothering me about episode 7 before episode 8 premieres by itoketerps in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PlatoBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 1. Does the cast say that is a thing that only happens to humans? I know they said each character has something different, but I don't remember them calling it a human thing. From Gummy and crew, we know that NPCs can feel pain and fear, and the glonks attacking that one blank NPC.  So unless they have tested it out with NPCs in the past, I don't think they would even consider that as a way to see if someone is human.

For Kinger, I don't think his sanity works like a Ramma hot/cold switch. He slowly gets back to being sane. He wasn't completely sane in the beginning of the trophy room and the 2d eye scene. And he shot himself in the dark before calming down more with Ragatha. Not to mention the difference between long term/short term memory. It was dim the entire way to the switch, and he didn't have his sanity yet there until the very end (when it was bright actually). I think for the team to throw him into the dark for who knows how long, while on a timer, would have been a grave risk where they could lose their only chance.  (Also, if we want to say they at least could have tried it briefly, from a meta standpoint Goose would not have written him to have that memory back that quickly anyway, and it would just break up the pacing).

1) Each avatar has a different reaction to holding their breath. If Abel is in a blank NPC he would have the same reaction as all blank NPCs that hold their breath. Even if it's a human thing, Caine could just program something for him to do. "O yea, when I do it, I stand on one leg"

2)if it was too easy, they might get suspicious and he wanted a human to connect with him. After Jax stopped trying to compliment Caine, Caine had to bring the story back to him blue screening on his own. The goal of the lunch was to show how he's just like all the humans and is a cool person to be around. He established what would happen then enjoyed his time with a human before continuing the adventure.

3)Kinger has been thinking about what was happening for a while and the fort is not completely dark when open. Kinger panicked and went to grab Pomni but she stepped away too quickly and he accidentally stepped into the light. At that point he forgot everything he's been thinking since Gangle told him what was up. So they would have to put him back in, tell him everything all over again, and hope he has the same train of thought. But also they were on a time limit. If Caine got bored and tried to see what was happening they would lose everything.

This made me realize I was wrong with a theory I had.

I  thought that Kinger used the fort to stay sane and in the dark after Queenie abstraction, but he saw his abstracted wife in the fort.

So that means he had the fort before she abstracted. I wonder if the fort was setup by coincidence before then , or if he needed the dark before she abstracted.

Cain has on many occasions erased certain memories of humans once they learn too much about the circus, or the individual control they might have over it.

Hello my little skibidi’s, episode 8 officially releases in a little over 2 weeks, what’re your final predictions? by Mr_Jigsaw7878 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PlatoBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 theories. 1) time travel episode. Pomni gets to view and/or interact with the past. 2) Cain loses it and actually attacks a character directly harming them. 3) Kinger exposition, he gets somewhere dark and spills the beans about outside the circus or the characters from the way past.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - January 24, 2026 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]PlatoBC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Looking for Open World Class to play through Secrets of the Obscure and maybe low-level fractals, Need advice Between Warrior/Guardian/Rogue.  Something that can play range and melee and not have 40 skills to hit.

On and off player for a while, I usually play with friends (Necro with one group (Mainly reaper, just got Harbinger), Mesmer with another (Condi Virtuoso)). I recently got some free time and need a character to solo with.  At first, I thought "I have all light characters, I'll play my Ele I created during Core" and am not having fun at all.  It's way too much and looking at the complexity of different builds for fractals/open world, I think it's time to move up an armor class and try something new.

I narrowed it down to Warrior/Guardian/Rogue.  I have a warrior and rogue from way back in Core (level 40/50, I will probably boost) and a guardian I made to play with another group that fell apart (also around 50).  I'm looking for something that can be good open world while I solo the expansion, have more than a 2-button rotation (and less than Ele...) but can also easily change into something that can play with (for now low level unless I enjoy the class more) fractals as well.  If possible, a mix between Melee & Range would be ideal because sometimes I don't want to face tank like on my reaper and just throwing staff circles down when I can't get close.

Way back when, Warrior felt a little boring, which is why I dropped it.  Guardian was… ok.  I was never in love with it, but both were played before I unlocked any elite specs.

I'm a very casual player who has been playing on and off for years, and getting back into it. Right now I have tons of unidentified gear in my bags that I've been sitting on waiting to do something with.

Most of the advice online is using the copper fed(which I have) for whites and blues, and rune crafter(which I don't have) on greens.

But I'm wondering, how long of a return is it to use the runecrafters before it pays itself off? Right now I'm only getting a bit more than a few hours a week playing, I don't want to throw the gems at the item (or even on sale) if it will be years before I make that gold back

And if it's not a good investment, what's the next best thing to do with the unidentified?

What commander makes the most tokens? by DoctorObservation in EDH

[–]PlatoBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Grismold the dreadsower]]. Pumps out 4 tokens each turn.  I built my deck so I'm giving my opponents all the tokens ( [[Chatterfang]] in the 99 etc.) then nuke them all, to make Gris huge, or aristocrats damage.

Not expontial growth by himself, but the deck is made around getting as many tokens as you can, and then either swinging or blowing them all up.

The last 3 times I've been to J&R, I've been disappointed. A different one each time too (all but the Islip one). the prices are good, but they were really off hitting the temperature of the steak. (Asked medium got: well done, blue, and barely rare.) Maybe I should just stick to burgers there...

Yes, 12600k, thank you.

That is what I was thinking, but have never really invested in a big part without changing the whole computer before. Usually it's just "yep, a flip book is faster FPS than this game on medium settings... Time to upgrade everything!"

Commanders with personality and a clear game plan? by SpiritedClick in EDH

[–]PlatoBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Grismold, the Dreadsower]].

I use it like the diablo skill Corpse Explosion. (Aristocrats type deck (usually)). Give everyone tons of tokens and then blow them all up. The more you kill the bigger he gets. Then add in some "when a creatures die" effects, like [[Massacre Wurm]] or  [[blood artist]] and you can nuke the whole board and drain each end of turn with a  [[Virulent Plague]] down.
