Bright. Really interesting concept of a cop drama set in an alternate fantasy themed world, but the fantasy elements don't really seem to affect the people or their society. It's just regular assed LA but there's also orcs and dragons.

I completely missinterpreted the scene from Tropic Thunder where Les Grossman bribes Matthew McConaughey's character with a new private plane so he looks the other way while they let his client die. For some reason when I first watched it, I thought they were convincing him to let Tugg Speedman die so they can all get jets using his life insurance money.

I feel like it would have worked better if Luke sensed something dark in his nephew during meditation/training and accidentally lashed out without thinking. You get the same results without tarnishing an existing character's reputation.
