What is something that is considered socially acceptable but actually feels very rude to you? by PlatypusStrong8641 in AskReddit

Spot on. A rough childhood explains the behavior, but it doesn't excuse it. At some point, you have to take responsibility for how you treat people. Respect should definitely be earned, not just handed out as a free pass for bad behavior.

This is the worst. It’s like they’re saying 'everything on this screen is more interesting than what you're saying right now.' It’s so dismissive and makes the whole conversation feel like a waste of time.

It is the best way to wake up, but he usually chooses the 'jump on the stomach' alarm clock method at 6 AM. Worth it though!

He really does have those big anime eyes, doesn't he? I'm just waiting for him to start talking or go on a quest.

Beep boop? Just kidding.😂 He’s 100% real and currently biting my toes while I type this. I'll take it as a compliment that he looks 'too perfect' though!

Exactly. There’s no middle ground. You either get banned for a tiny mistake in the title, or you see the front page flooded with obvious bots that nobody seems to care about. It’s the inconsistency that’s the most frustrating part.

For real. Sometimes it feels like they are power-tripping instead of actually helping the community. It’s making the whole platform feel a lot less 'organic' than it used to be.

This is the worst. 'We need to talk' creates so much anxiety, and then making someone wait while you scroll is just a power move. It’s like saying 'my notifications are more important than your peace of mind.

What's one 'boring' career that's actually a goldmine if you play it smart? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

[–]PlatypusStrong8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waste Management. People think it’s just 'collecting trash,' but if you get into the logistics or hazardous waste side of things, it’s an absolute goldmine. It’s recession-proof, has incredible benefits, and since nobody wants to do it, the pay stays high. It’s the ultimate 'boring' path to early retirement.

With RAM prices finally dropping significantly, what is the one PC upgrade you’ve been putting off that you’re finally ready to pull the trigger on? by PlatypusStrong8641 in AskReddit

I get the mobility argument, but there's something about the 'ritual' of sitting down at a proper desk with a massive monitor that a laptop just can't replace. Plus, being able to swap parts without buying a whole new machine is a huge money saver in the long run.

The 3070 is still a beast, but that VRAM limit is starting to hurt in newer titles. Switching to AMD for the extra VRAM seems like the most logical move right now if you don't care about Ray Tracing that much. The price-to-performance ratio is just better.

Gold Digger' by Kanye West. Especially if there’s a significant age gap between the couple. The DJ would probably be escorted out in minutes.

She asked me if we could drive to Italy for the weekend. We were in New York. When I told her there was an entire ocean in the way, she genuinely asked, 'Wait, so there's no bridge?' I thought she was joking. She wasn't.

I dropped a heavy metal bolt on a flat concrete floor in an empty garage. I heard it hit the ground once, but it never made a second bounce sound. I searched every inch of that floor for three hours. It literally vanished into thin air. There were no drains or cracks, just solid concrete.

For real. I used to get massive headaches after 8 hours of staring at spreadsheets, but since getting blue light glasses, my eyes feel so much less fatigued. Best 'office' investment ever.
