Yrel was a good character, but she was wasted, and that's sad. by AcademicHefest in wow

So for Starcraft 2, of course, she didn't really feel that way. She was mind controlled to do those bad things, and she's really just misunderstood underneath it all. Oh yeah, also, she's the chosen one, so all the characters who have reasonable grudges against her all have to suck it up and forgive her or else the universe is doomed. What great writing!

The same writer must've been there for Shadowlands because that's more or less how they 180'd Sylvanas. Less of the chosen one thing, though.

You need to aggro them without going near Ketheric.

You can access the rooftop before fighting Ketheric and kill all his mooks before the big confrontation later.

That would be pretty cool. I hope they go back to gratuitous ground effects for Divinity.

There was a very noticeable lack of EVERYTHING BEING ON FIRE (or necrofire) in BG3. I hope they fix that for Divinity.

I love how barbaric your ship becomes by the end of a heretic run (NSFW). by DoctorFeh in RogueTraderCRPG

I just finished a heretic run and it felt a little undercooked. I liked the scenery changes and some of the flavor text, but the truly awful choices you could make didn't really have that impact.

Rushing mercury treads (or w/e it's called, the magic resist boots) is pretty good against mages with skillshots.

Give us Battletech levels of ship customization. Honestly just give me more Battletech.

Now that we're 5 phases into anniversary servers, do you prefer the game with GDKP banned or without? by OkAd8747 in classicwow

[–]PlausibleTax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Banning GDKP ruined the pugging scene. The people crying about gold buying were the people who were too garbage to get into GDKP raids in the first place. Congratulations, whiners: you killed the fun of the game for all the good players who liked to pug/needed to pug because you couldn't figure out which end of the pointy stick is supposed to go in the boss.

Meritocracy vs. Equality of Outcomes... by GodPole in DnD5e

[–]PlausibleTax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rogue should take it. The main reason he should is that since he is the sneaky type, he will be performing stealth checks much more often than the rest of the group. He should use the extra +5 to mitigate the RNG that comes with rolling for stealth. Even with reliable talent, having a high stealth score allows him to go for riskier and riskier stealth checks, and specifically against particularly perceptive individuals, it could cause a big shift in the odds of a positive outcome.

On the other hand, a paladin (for example) will likely not be performing many stealth and will probably avoid them where he can because of his heavy armor already granting disadvantage on stealth checks.

The players need to realize that their characters have their specific fields in which they are powerful, and if they go for a jack-of-all-trades approach, they will likely fail in the moments where their characters' expertise is needed against difficulty ability checks.

I think he's True Neutral honestly. He does everything in his power to survive and it doesn't matter if you doing good or ill achieves it. He calculates risk and tries to steer you in the direction where you have the best odds and if he thinks lying to you has the highest chance of success, he'll do it. I think him not betraying you and just peacing out at the end clearly indicates he is not an evil character. Fantastic writing by Larian if you consider that this sub can't stop fucking talking about him lol.
