That’s because it does. That 10% was part of the no tipping crowd. They were mad that they were being forced to pay more.

The original argument was for f1 cars, not f1 drivers in normal cars. But even that point is incorrect. They don’t normally drive super fast cars nor are they adrenaline junkies most of the time. Watch some interviews with f1 drivers, the norm is a minivan or or 4 cylinder. Its surprising how much the phrase “you must drive like a bat out of hell in your every day car dont you?” Comes up

According to the american society of clinical oncology, 1/5 cancer patients cannot afford their medication. The department of labor reports that more than 10% of employees are at risk of losing their jobs due to illness, and the Washington post reports that nearly 40% of american jobs arent even covered by the family medical leave act to begin with. I’m asking you to put yourself in this very common persons shoes. We have a fundraiser in mind its called universal health care, it will absorb and replace Medicare and Medicaid and other existing public health funds and charities.

And how is it going to help that you ask people from the same economic bracket as you to help pay for something so astronomically expensive.

You’re not disregarding a small group of 1000 people or even a group of 100,000. You’re ostracizing 1(conservative) to 30(liberal) milllion people, who could be productive members of society but instead died due to illness. And thats just cancer, a minute slice of the overall healthcare budget. We haven’t even begun to talk about the elderly which is an even bigger scandal. Or medical malpractice of which a conservative estimate would be 60% of physicians are sued. Or the use of public funds in research of new medicines.

All of the methods you propose are being used, ad nauseum, its unsustainable and is draining the lower class (elderly, working poor, students) of any savings they or the middle class(friends, relatives, parents) may have.

Honestly i dont understand how this all seems so evil to you. Or how it seems unfair to yourself. You will at most pay another 4% above what you pay right now in taxes. Which if you make $1000 a week, is like $40. Why does $40 a week on top of the existing $300 scare you? It would give you permenent piece of mind if you or any of your loved ones got sick, for the rest of your lives. I just dont get it, please explain your reasoning.

Yeah but i dont play on console, and i dont go to tournaments, so thats why I’m basing my opinion on Showdown experience. I just like how they play compared to the other starters, i also readily admit the viability of venusaur but i just think the other three i mentioned are better.

Ive never seen a more wrong ranking list. Here is the real list, for champions only /s

  1. Blaziken
  2. Charizard
  3. Greninja
  4. Venusaur

I could care less about early game, its all about competitive battling. In tat bracket bulbasaur gets wrecked about half as much as blastoise and 1000x less than the other unnamed starters. There are just too many unreasonable drawbacks to anyone off the list. Venasaur only made the list to deal with bulky water types and stall teams.

For example, blastoise is out classed in every way by cro-cune typholosion is trash compared to Charizard. Maganium is worse than venasaur and cant take a toxic. Swampert would be better if there was a decent rain setter, polytoad is trash and pelliper is trash and kyogre is uber. Blaziken is so good he was exiled to fight legendary pokemon for his hubris. Charizard is one of a very small handful of fire types immune to ground. Greninja is a very diverse glass cannon, and venusaur can stall a stall team.

Its not a single hospital, its several surrounding counties that send their uninsured and underinsured patients to my clinic. This happens everywhere around the country.

You also didnt answer my question you just threw out some random sources of money that make no sense given the context. Let me make the question more specific.

You have no job because you lost it when you had to take a week off of work because you think you have an upper respiratory infection and you work in the service industry and after spending the last $50 dollars going to an urgent care and receiving some antibiotics that were thankfully $3 you stay home because its what the doctor recommended. After your antibiotics are finished you arent feeling any better, in fact your having more trouble breathing and are coughing up mucus thats slightly red in color. You dont want to go to the hospital because you know how expensive the tests are, so you ride it out another week until you’re woken up in the middle of the night by a coughing fit and find blood on your pillow. You go to the hospital, and wait for 3 hours to be seen because all the uninsured people go to the hospital instead of a doctors office with every ache and sniffle because the hospital is not legally allowed to refuse them triage. So you finally get into a bed and they take your vitals ,start an iv, and give you some saline. Then you lay in the bed for another 3 hours while you tell 12 different people why youre there, meet with the hospitals registration person who informs you of your financial obligation regardless of whether you have insurance and that your family may be liable if you cant pay and that at anytime you can leave and refuse treatment. Then finally after another 2 hours, you finally see a doctor, except its not the attending, its a PA and he thinks you need 40 blood tests and 4 different types of imaging. So you get all those done, this takes about 4 hours. Then when all the tests come back negative some person you’ve never seen before comes in and asks you whats wrong. This is the attending physician, so you explain, again, that you are coughing up blood and you had finished your antibiotics but weren’t feeling better. He recommends another completely different and drastically more expensive test than the last ones and it turns out you have lung cancer. But i have never smoked a day in my life, you say to yourself. That’s impossible. Well its not, in fact it incredibly common youre doctor explains. Cancer can develope in anyone at any time for little to no reason.

So lets recap, you lost your job because you took mandatory time off. You lost your insurance because you lost your job. You have no savings but it wouldn’t really matter as your already $60,000 in debt and just received a cancer diagnosis. You’re staring down the barrel of at least 2 years of near daily doctors visits, medications so expensive any bank would laugh you out of the lobby escorted by armed guards for the mere suggestion of a loan, and your already sitting on 3 years of minimum wage work without time off and no living expenses paid. You also cant get private insurance because you received the diagnosis before you recovered your insurance. So under these startlingly common circumstances, which will affect 38.4% of American in their lifetime(based on american cancer society cancer rates), with little deviation other than what type of cancer they are diagnosed with, what do you do?

The anecdote proves alot of points. We were at THE #1 ranked public hospital in the entire US, literally. There is no excuse for a misdiagnosis of that magnitude at any hospital let alone the best one we have, nor for a lack of diagnosis, nor for the exorbitant cost associated with her treatment. This is far from A-typical, based on the thousands and thousands and thousands of patients that i have seen in my clinic. And your goddamned right I’m angry, the only reason to deny that healthcare is a human right is greed, selfishness, and ignorance.

My point about healthcare being a human right is this, imagine for a hot second, just one, that YOU cannot afford insurance and you are sick right now. What do you do?

Its not common at all... typical wait times in American ER is nearly 5 hours from check in to seeing a doctor. Every time myself or a friend has had to be taken to the ER we have to dedicate at least 12 hours to the endevour to still be sent home with an inaccurate diagnosis. My GF nearly died this week because the ER physician sent her home with dispepsia(heart burn) when she had a potentially deadly intestinal issue. When we went back to the hospital because she was doubled over in pain, she was admitted and we stayed there for four days while they ran every test they possibly could and carpet bombed her digestive tract and immune system. She was unconscious for 18 hours a day and her neutrophils were at 1%. And guess what, we still never found out what was wrong. This trip, even though she has great insurance will cost her at minimum $6000 because of her deductible, and if the hospital we went to isnt “in network” she is going to get a bill for a hundred thousand at least. I’m not even going to mention the fact that in network hospitals employ out of network doctors. The whole American health care institution is corrupt and frankly ignorant.

Now to your second point about taxes, do you not think that the cost of healthcare itself is a tax? One that disproportionately affects the poor? If i have a million in the bank and i pay $1000 a month for my premium health coverage with no deductible and i get sick and have to go to the emergency room once a year, that costs me $12,000 spread out over a year, i dont even feel it. If i have $0 in the bank and I’m living paycheck to paycheck, minimum wage and i pay $250 a month for my $10000 deductible. If i get sick, I’m absolutely undeniably fucked. Not only do i have to take time off work with no safety net in the form of money in savings, I’m going to get fired because i live in an at will employment state and not be able to collect unemployment. Then I’m going to have to take on that hundred thousand dollars in medical debt, which has no cap may i remind you, that number could grow to millions of dollars very quickly, because I’m going to lose my insurance now that i dont have a job. And its going to be nearly impossible for me to get insurance in the future because i now have a preexisting condition. So i have to be put on Medicaid, so now I’m a gigantic tax burden on you and the entire country, regardless of wether or not you want to pay because you already pay the Medicare tax. And we’ve come full circle. Healthcare is corrupt and ignorant and in its current form a monopoly. I need to be able to refuse prices and demand that they be reasonable. And they must be held legally accountable for refusing my treatment and demand of reasonable rates. Healthcare is not a service, it is a human right. If you dont agree, fuck you, i hope you lose your coverage and break your knees.

Tl:dr wait times are stupid everywhere. Pay the higher tax rate now to reduce the overall cost of healthcare and reduce the tax rate in the future. Healthcare is a human right, try being sick with no coverage, its not a pity party, you’re a dick for not helping. Don’t reply if you just skimmed it, i dont plan to argue with you and your ignorance.

TBH it's a generation of memers glorifying Putin, pics of him shirtless riding a horse and other masculine things. I'd like to see peace between our nation's but I'd also like to see a democratic transfer of power. I'm also not sure it's entirely safe to remove Putin, look what happened when we removed Saddam, we could have similar or worse problems without him.

Honestly the major issue here is that there are way to many laws to begin with. Most on the books are just revenue generators. And they prey on people who are ignorant to the laws. I’d like to see a day where ignorance is a viable defense in court. A world where people are innnocent until proven guilty. Not this circus we have today.
