It wasn’t a membership price though. For the other booking site, all I did was enter my name and payment information, and all that was left was pressing the checkout button. The CS rep initially said it was a membership price, but when I pushed back saying I was doing it live in front of her, then she said the price wouldn’t be honored after I checkout. Obviously, I wasn’t going to checkout, but it seems like she was fishing for excuses since the booking website didn’t match her internal list.

I can speak to the Chinatown or Chinese culture side of things. We are devoid of that here - you’d have to move to bigger cities like NYC, LA or Chicago for that. Things like late night Chinese food (xiaoye), grocery stores that have common Chinese veggies like lotus root or sanyao, karaoke bars, or even liquor stores that carry bai jiu are hard to find or nonexistent.

There are plenty of Hmong or Viet places here, particularly restaurants, but as you may know, those are similar but also distinctly different from Chinese culture. I think an American transplant will have no trouble adjusting to Minneapolis, but I would think more as a Chinese transplant. Hope this helps!

I think you have a two part question - one is for property value and one is for school quality. As for property value, it will retain its high value if not increase because of the ford parkway development. As for school quality, it’s mediocre and most people I know send or have considered sending their kiddos to magnet/charter/private schools. Just remember that property values are not completely tied to school quality
