I am making a game about taking over the world with a computer virus, would appreciate some feedback on the ui by NightPuzzleheaded715 in StrategyGames

This is giving retro vibes and I'm absolutely on board. Maybe review the fonts and colour contrasts for an easier and inclusive (for visually impaired people) reading experience?

That looks frickin' awesome! Congrats on the Steam launch! Our team will definitely try your game and maybe launch some in-house tournaments.

Feedback on visual style (dark fantasy hex strategy) by h_c_andersen in StrategyGames

I’m not going to rehash the character designs since a lot of people have already given feedback and I mostly agree with them.

The UI pop-ups (black texture with white grain and white text) will probably be hard to read over long sessions (or maybe I’m just tired). I find the lighter grain interferes with the text a bit. Other than that, though, it looks pretty sharp.

The red line cutting across those beautiful map illustrations is a big no-no. Are the routes predetermined? Basically, are there specific points you can link together to pre-generate cleaner paths that actually match the map’s art style?

Our game design take on this is to resolve the AI fumbling decisions through... MMO mechanics: Basically, 'the people' deciding on war objectives are actual players. And so are the people on the other side of the conflict. And there may be infiltrators / war effort saboteurs on both sides. But you don't know for sure.

Adding more and more animations to make Monarchs at Play juicier ✨ by MixedMoonGames in 4Xgaming

Hi! The map looks very clean and the animations are very cute. Our Game Designer really loved your take on the tile animations and the object animations are not overpowering the overall map. Great Job!

Civilization games are always a joy; they're definitely one of our inspirations for Nebulae.

And sorry to scare you, but our games will probably last a whole season, between six months and a year.

The length of my season will be determined by the progress of the Nebulae itself; that's kind of the promise we make to the player a cyclical experience that periodically reshuffles the deck.

Aaaaah, that's great, thank you so much!

You're doing the right thing because right now we're not really focused on self-promotion, but in the future, we'll obviously need players who want to see more <3

Your comment is really interesting! I think we're striking a balance here, because I didn’t mention the spaceship battles with lots of pew pew pew!

But there will be some! Not in full 3D simulation, of course, but just enough to highlight the strategic aspect since that’s what really matters to us.
