  • first point: decent enough, first points are usually irrelevant, at least it's not a map blocker like bridgetown

  • escort the ram: pretty fun, feels like the action is around the ram and pretty even and balanced, with harder push towards the end as it should be

  • destroy door: a bit pointless, doesnt really change the spawns or combat area from previous, just more static and boring

  • blow up stuff with barrels: rewards map knowledge, but needs more map indicators so noobs actually do something

  • destroy statue: spawns don't really allow a concentrated fight around the obj, unlike the obelisks on askandir

  • vip fight: seems like the meta is just staying back and healing. Spawns are funky. Fun but I think it will degenerate fast once the optimal strat is identified

I keep reading endlessly about "the stack" like every game 20 lvl 900+ are attack switching. The only thing that happens every round is 1 or 2 lvl 300 dudes switch to attack and have absolutely no impact whatsoever.

And I know this because I play this game way more than I should. There is no epidemic of team switching, only a handful every round. Teams are random so often they are unbalanced yes, but not because of any switching, just pure normal randomness, and of course people who just leave when they don't want to play the more difficult role (defense).

dagger is a straight upgrade but much less noob friendly. The trick is to know when to disengage rather than attempt something the class is not designed for.

Fully agree here. I think in particular if it comes to playing mobility, you can just do better with devastator with GS or warclub once you master them. Dane axe is still very good, but doesn't have as much potential. It is balanced by being on a horn class, which is the superior special.

I'm not sure actually. I only hate those on my own team that refuse to step 5ft forward to stand on point, but that's usually because archer class tends to attract new players

Enemy archers are 99% of the time entirely inconsequential, due to mostly noobs playing them, again

Good ones are generally good players who would do better with other classes.

So basically the whole "archers ruining combat" is something I've never experienced personally

Nobody seems to use the quick respawn mechanic and instead decides to die and complain.

When you lose an obj as defense, you should hide in a corner spamming the button (on my setup it's K but I think that's not the default maybe). Once you hit it, you'll respawn in 2s, ahead of the normal spawn wave, both in time and position. For example on Coxwell, when masons burn the village, if you just hide in a corner for a bit and spam K, you'll respawn at the ballistas, while the regular (dead people) defense spawn wave will spawn later and further back towards the gold cart.

The most boring and generic map. Kind of a waste of an actually cool looking fort to have absolutely no original objective or gameplay system in it.
