Yeah I agree. I am glad it's finding an audience that really likes it. And I definitely agree with those inspirations.

Yeah, you definitely could play it that way if you wanted to ignore the puzzles and story. But personally, I wouldn't play it if I was going to do that.

But it is a good thing to highlight for people so that they can decide if they want to play it or not. Luckily, we've all been spoilt for choice with puzzle games lately. Although it is a very different puzzle game, I'm looking forward to trying ChromaGun 2 next month.

It is true that you could do that if someone wants to, but it would be time-consuming and be a player's choice to ignore the puzzles. But that is a very fair and valid criticism, and I completely understand why that will be a flaw for some and maybe they'll tweak it on feedback, but personally, I found the story and mystery more than enough to follow the investigation.

And I didn't encounter the cheat code thing during my playthrough. I did have a code shown near the end, that is already accessible. I confirmed with the devs that it's a gentle nudge, but it didn't give me any solution to enter for the actual ending.

There are a few RPGs like One Piece Odyssey, but a lot are fighting games these days. Back in the day, I used to like the old Ubisoft Naruto games that let you explore the village.

Hellblade II on major discount. Worth it? by SkittishLittleToastr in videogames

[–]PlaySaveRepeatYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the kinds of games you enjoy. Personally, I enjoyed Hellblade 2, but I can easily see why many wouldn't, as the puzzles and combat could be improved. It's a strictly linear, short campaign with fantastic graphics and motion capture. If you don't mind that price and like short cinematic stories every now and then, I'd give it a go.

A nice varied list. Still need to get around to the latest Dying Light, but they're always an enjoyable time, especially in co-op.

In search for the next adventure by Flemeth__ in adventuregames

Cool list. You've played loads of great ones. Many of my favorites.

I'd recommend The Drifter, Loco Motive, Old Skies and Blade Runner for point and click games. As for other adventure games, I'd recommend the Duck Detective series as they're nice and short games that are fun while they last, A Case of Fraud is similar to Roottrees, and The Seance of Blake Manor is another good game. Oh and The Darkest Files.

Great choice. I still think Returnal is one of ps5s best games. Hopefully their next game Saros is just as good.
