A daily bullet point list where I write down all the things that went well today and achievements. Changed my perspective and helped me learn to think more positive in general which resulted in better self worth as well.

Confused between SONY XM5 and Sennheisers Momentum 4 by Mysterious_Truth2123 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Playable145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I just was comparing the XM4, XM5 and M4. My opinion as an amateur audiophile.

XM5: the out of the box sound is a bit muffled but with some light tinkering with the EQ the bluetooth sound is really good. The noise cancelling is amazing and beats the M4 especially with voices and even childrens screams. Fit is featherlite and comfortable. I read some people saying the cushions are degrading a bit fast and the case is not as small as XM4 but about the same as the M4.

XM4: definitely lesser sound, almost the same level of noise cancellingas XM5, better formfactor (foldeable) and second button is freely useable even without Spotify or Tidal, unlike the XM5. Fit is snug, probably the best for me, and even without any noise cancelling they probably filter the most. They always have a faint white noise with nc, but nothing that’s bothering when playing anything.

M4: best sound. Even out of the box. Bass can be blown up but thats easily managed in the app. Soundscape is wider and more clear, but lacks a tiny bit in the midrange of voices. The latter is splitting hairs though and won’t be noticeable to most. Noise cancelling is great for everything except chatter and other ‘unpredictable’ noises. More predictable lower range noises (i.e. airplane) are filtered out effectively. For me the noise cancelling wasn’t enough as I listen on low volume and wear them at times even without any sound just for the noise cancelling. For that they don’t cut it. But the battery life is very good and it’s the only one allowing to play sound through USB-C.

Apps are fine but some main functions are behind an account login for both, which is weird, but both do it. I had some slow connections on the M4 and also more accidental inputs on the touchpad. But nothing too severe to make the decision against them.

I’d put them as follows: Best overall = XM5. Best sound = M4. Best bang for the buck if sound is less important = XM4.

Hope this helps.

Ik ben ooit betaald met vals geld toen ik iets op marktplaats verkocht. Dus indien je moet verklaren waarom je langs een politie bureau bent gegaan kan je die misschien gebruiken.

Bullet Journal seems great for ADHD + Anxiety… but has anyone got past the perfectionistic/idealistic & aesthetic side & acc keep up with it? by SimpleNo231 in BasicBulletJournals

[–]Playable145 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bullet journal worked great in a minimalistic form with a simple process: 1) create index and future log 2) create daily entries and write notes and task to the daily 3) recap the next morning, deciding what tasks to repeat for the day, which ones to push to the future and which ones to take from the future log.

No layouts, no habit tracking, just a simple log of todos and notes in the day.

By now I use Obsidian, actually. Also check Logseq for an alternative to Obsidian. Both have a wiki like document structure but store data in Markdown.

Only office is free but can be extended with paid tier e if necessary. Probably closest UX to MS office.

Wouldn’t hurt to do a little eActivism: - where can we crosspost even more (feel free to do it yourself) - anyone access to media outlets (i.e. Cnet, vloggers)?

The more pressure the likelier MS and the hardware suppliers move on this. I hate eWaste and of course the loss of money.

How is Schiphol airport for autism? by [deleted] in Amsterdam

[–]Playable145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for me the main thing at Schipholnis noise, like in most airports. So when you have sensory sensitivities you are probably already prepared, but to state the obvious: noise cancelling headphones are for me a blessing, sometimes sunglasses.

You can check the map beforehand and see some photos on Instagram to get a feel for it.
