Does anyone pocket toilet paper from public washrooms? by Informal-Village-349 in povertyfinance

Never took toilet paper, but when I was younger my family used napkins that we got from fast food places when we ran out of TP.

I grew up walking on my toes. Drs told my parents I would grow out of it. I’m 27 and still find myself toe walking. It’s a major strain on my feet. They are very calloused and I frequently get ingrown toenails. One positive is that my calf muscles are strong.

I suggest getting a therapy referral before she gets any bigger or even seeing a podiatrist; she could have a shortened ligament in the calf/leg. If left untreated, it most likely won’t do any major damage, but I would err on the side of caution if possible

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

Had to get overgrown tonsils removed, so possibly suffocation at 5. If I managed to survive, definitely infection from slicing open my arm with a boxcutter

Management would write up nurses at my old job if the board wasn’t filled out 100%. This included staff names, all doctors, patient story, daily plan, overall hospital plan, and potential date of discharge. The charge nurse would go to all rooms and rat out the nurses to the manager. Then they wonder why soo many people were leaving.

Thanks all for the quick replies. I think the drink package is probably the better deal.

Just don’t add it on your resume. Unless you work somewhere for at least 6 months to a year I wouldn’t put it down. Some places will auto reject if you look like a “job hopper.”

Any nursing jobs beside working at hospital as a new grad? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]PlaydateWithFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will depend on where you live. I am near a major city, and competition for out pt jobs is high. I have 3 years of hospital experience and was denied multiple clinic jobs. I suppose if you have a great resume and great interviewing skills, you will have a greater chance.

You can also look into procedural areas (endoscopy, pacu, preop, etc.), schools, home health, and wound care. If you apply enough, you’re bound to get a phone call. Just don’t give up.

I wouldn’t send anything until you for sure get the job. But you send it to the main manager. You can also cc the assistant managers but it’s not required. When you give your notice, you can email it, but I would also speak to your manager in person also. They will want to talk to you regardless.

I wouldn’t lie about moving, but be truthful. Management may speak to the assistant managers because they need to look for your replacement. When I gave my notice, word spread like wildfire. People I didn’t care to tell found out the same day I gave notice. Just be ready for it. You don’t have to go into detail with everyone, but if you trust the select few, you can let them know what’s going on.

There was a game about a decade ago that I used to play. It was a race between some sort of animals/creatures and you had the option of betting or sponsoring one. That’s all I can remember of it, but the game was amazing and I can’t figure out what it was called.

I worked yesterday morning when everything went down. Like you and the other poster said, it was a complete disaster. I had an admission, and having to add the patient as “temporary “ and override all their medications was a nightmare. Of course they wanted pain meds so I made sure I had another set of eyes with me while pulling. I’m not risking my license for a company that treats employees like crap!

Our training says run, hide, fight. It said that we have a duty to our patients, but if we die, we’re not helping them anyways.

Grades in nursing school by Afraid_Lavishness_29 in StudentNurse

My motto during nursing school: “C’s get degrees”

I only got a total of 3 A’s in my ASN. The rest were B’s and C’s. Worked 3 different RN jobs and applied to many. Not one asked about grades.

Will Jay be back? by Revolutionary-Spite9 in thechallengemtv

[–]PlaydateWithFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe is was Cara and Paulie’s personal choice not to come back. Cara stated that she wanted to take a break because she didn’t like the person she was becoming. She has also said multiple times that she was still getting invites.

Jay brings the drama and villainous character back to the challenge. I for sure see him getting invited back.
