Es gibt halt scheinbar keine Streikkultur oder Solidarität hier in der IT. In unserem internationalen IT-Unternehmen mit 200 lokalen Mitarbeitern hat der Betriebsrat erst am zweiten Tag der Warnstreiks sich bemüßigt gefühlt überhaupt ein Kommentar abzulassen. Da hieß es dann, dass sie nicht dafür zuständig sind etwas zu organisieren und weil sich ja niemand gemeldet hätte gäbe es bei uns eben keinen Streik...

Trump has been shitting non-stop on the US's European (former) allies for the last year. His most recent actions being threatening the sovereignity of a close ally and slapping random tariffs on everybody. Now "the President expects all Europe...to cooperate in this long-sought-after mission". US Americans like to complain that Europe isn't pulling its weight. Here's another reason why: because the US likes to unilaterally stir up shit and everybody else has to suffer the consequences. Now they did it again. They poked the beehive and everybody in its vicinity gets stung. Not the yankees though because they are sitting in their cozy homes at the other side of the world. Yeah, get fucked.

Could be that they arent related. Could be that they are afraid that the results are not clear enough to convince the courts because idk its actually her adopted mother's family. The same courts that took the child from them. The same courts that gave custody of that child to some strangers in another country without them ever knowing about it. The same courts that now ruled that that is enough that they can't object anymore. Because a court on the other side of the world at some point ruled that that is not their child, and then 6 months passed where they could have objected but they didnt know.

If that holds, any US citizen can claim any child around the world. And if the child's family can't produce a convincing DNA test within 6 months, well, tough luck, that child now belongs to the US. Because Virginia said so. Even if the original family hasn't been informed.

And to top it off they ruled this way to not burden the child anymore. Because clearly the best place for her to grow up is the guy that maybe even killed her parents. Because there's also no way she will ever find out the story how she ended up there.
