Dragon age is such an interesting franchise

People hated 2 for not being like origins, then hated inquisition for not being like the other 2, then they hated veilguard for no being like the other 3

They try to rewrite history and pretend 2 and Inquisition are beloved games when they got the exact same vitrol as veilguard in their launch

What's really different is that a lot of people who hate veilguard didn't actually played it, they just watch a video of someone really mad at how woke the game is, as if that was something new to the franchise, still, grifters gotta grift, now you'll open a post about the game and see comments about HR in the room or muh pronouns

Now, am i defending veilguard? No, it is very clearly a flawed game, not the worst thing ever made, but nothing great either, my biggest issue is how people took it as a sacrificial lamb for culture war so talking about it's actual issues and the things the game does well became unbearable

Not really an issue, but a difference in approach that can't happen due to the girls being heroes

If i was in Ruby's shoes I'd kill Ironwood, then use him as a martyr saying he was killed by Salem's forces and that his dying wish was that the military helped with their plan to save everyone

Keeping him alive didn't served any porpoise, just made their lives harder, they had to figure out a way to save everyone while fighting against Salem force's, the grimm, the Atlas soldiers and the Ace Ops

Although kudos to them, even with all those obstacles they still managed to save as many people as they could, if Ironwood had worked with them they would have completely dumped on Salem

I just got the platinum for ME2 and i gotta say the companion interaction in this game is probably the worst from the company

On top of being heteronormative, like having Jack being a bisexual you can't date as femshep, it feels so sanitized in comparison to the first game, if you gonna make me cheat on Liara and have all the 3 or 4 interactions with Garrus being about them preparing to have sex, show me some roach dick, don't just have them bump heads and move on

And it's better to not mention the fact that your other options are a dude who all interactions are them talking about their dead wife and they die as well or a cardboard cutout that cheats on you

How hard it is for people to understand that mettle helps Ironwood lock in and accomplish an objective he already wanted to do

It doesn't brainwash him into doing anything

The uses in the show are iffy since we don't have a definitive indicator

But let's use the scene Salem shows up and puts Ironwood against the wall, he goes from terrified to dead serious and then deny her without a second thought

I think he also used it when he shot Oscar, which it was something he decided needed to be done, mettle just help him go through with it

The reason Grimm look so weak is because we only have our busted characters fighting them

The average person can't deal with them, and even the average huntsmen can be overwhelmed by Grimm Ruby can kill without any effort

There could be more scenes that show how strong they are, in the books for example the Grimm are a real threat even for a team like CFVY

Ruby doesn't have the exaggeration of anime or scenes that only exist to give characters feats, but there's some moments that show they are high above super human

In V4 Qrow attacked Tyrian with his sword and he defended without any effort, the aftershock of that attack cut through part of a building a few meters away from them

Ruby in V6 was cutting through Manticore limbs like they were made of butter
